It had been a few weeks since Dandin successfully stole the scroll. He'd made steady progress with it and could now use the Body Flicker to move about 40 feet in a straight line. Unfortunately, it took over a minute to weave the hand signs, so the technique was currently worthless in battle, but considering how much time he'd trained he was happy with his progress and driven to try harder.

However, unknown to Dandin, attacking Tora would lead to a major future consequence.

All Dandin cared about was his little world. And he had to take a break from training the Body Flicker Technique because his dad had returned from a mission and Dandin couldn't train jutsus around him.

Mujin was always proud of Dandin. Every time he came home, he was impressed by his son's dedication to training and his achievements.

"Dandin, I want to give you a gift today," Mujin stated. Mujin handed Dandin a piece of paper. "Do you know how to use this?"

Dandin shook his head. Dandin didn't even know what the piece of paper that he was holding was.

"You've worked really hard, and I'm pleased with your progress. I want to reward you for your effort and the best way I know of to do that is to help you train your elemental affinity early. From what I've learned it won't hurt your chakra foundation. Instead, it will make it stronger."

Mujin held up a similar piece of paper. "This is an elemental testing paper. It reacts to chakra and reveals the elemental nature of the chakra that's placed into it."

"It's simple to use. You hold the paper and put some of your chakra into it, like this." The paper in Mujin's hand glowed faintly. A second later the paper was burnt with electricity and turned to ash.

"That means that my main affinity is lightning. But that's not the only element I'm good at. I'm also strong with water and earth. Your mother uses wind and water, so the only element we don't have an affinity for is fire. Hopefully you don't have that one or else we can't guide you."

Mujin pointed at the paper he'd given to Dandin, "Now try it."

Dandin raised the piece of paper in his hand and concentrated his Chakra into it. It glowed for a second then also burnt with electricity and turned to ash.

"What does that mean?" Dandin asked.

"It means that lightning is your main element. It's not a surprise since you're a Hatamo." Mujin said with a warm smile, "You'll have to train hard, but I'll make sure you're a strong lightning user in the future!"

"Yes dad!"

"Now, let's talk about how to train your elemental affinity. Wind is easy, you use it to cut things. Most ninjas use leaves or paper. When you can cut all the way through a leaf, you're ready to learn Rank E and D wind Jutsu."

"Lightning is a little harder," Mujin lifted his hand and held his thumb and index finger apart. He made a current of electricity pass between them. The electrical arc danced around and pulsated softly, "When you can cause electricity to pass from one finger to another you have a basic proficiency in the lightning element. When you can pass it from one hand to another you are ready to learn the stronger C Rank jutsu." Mujin moved his hands a meter apart and electricity passed between them.

"That's not the end of our training," He then reached into his pouch and pulled out two rocks. "These rocks are special. They block electricity. When you can pass lightning from one rock to another, you're ready for B Rank justu and above."

Mujin concentrated and electricity appeared on the rock in his right hand before it transferred to the rock in his left hand. The electricity was fierce and wild. It was so bright that Dandin had to squint his eyes. "When you can do this, I'll teach you all the lightning jutsu I know."
