Done in George POV 😌
------------------------------------------

I woke up, stretching lazily as my eyes blinked away my sleepiness. The room was quiet except for the soft breathing coming from my girl. Elizabeth lay beside me, her face half buried in the pillow, her hair sprawled out everywhere. She looked so peaceful and I couldn't help but smile at how lucky I was to have her in my life.

As I shifted slightly, pressing a kiss to her shoulder, something caught my eye. A faint red stain on the white bedsheets near her side of the bed. It took me a moment to figure out what it was.

"Oh," I whispered to myself, piecing it together.

Elizabeth must've gotten her period during the night. My first thought wasn't disgust, it was just concern. I knew how self conscious she could get about things like this, even though I'd told her a hundred times there was nothing she could ever do that would change the way I felt about her.

I carefully sat up, not wanting to startle her. "Liz," I said softly, brushing a few strands of hair from her face. She stirred slightly, her nose scrunching in that adorable way it always did when she was waking up.

"Mm?" she said sleepily, her eyes fluttering open.

"Good morning, love," I said. "Hey, don't panic, but I think you might have gotten your period in the night."

Her eyes widened as she pushed herself up on her elbows, looking down at the sheet. The moment she saw the stain, her cheeks flushed bright red and she groaned, covering her face with her hands.

"Oh my god, George," she mumbled through her hands. "I'm so sorry. This is so embarrassing."

I reached over and pulled her hands gently away from her face, holding them in mine. I could tell her eyes were starting to fill with tears. "Hey, stop that," I said firmly but kindly. "It's not a big deal. It's completely normal. Come on, why don't you go take a nice, hot shower and I'll take care of the sheets?"

"George, you don't have to-" she started, but I cut her off by leaning in and kissing her cheek.

"Liz, I'd do anything for you. You know that," I said with a small smile. "This is nothing. Really. It's natural."

Her eyes searched mine and after a moment, she sighed, her shoulders relaxing slightly. "You're too good to me," she muttered, still looking embarrassed but not as tense.

"I'm exactly as good as you deserve...and you still deserve more," I replied, giving her hands a squeeze. "Now go on. Shower. I've got this."

She hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Okay," she said softly, sliding out of bed and heading toward the bathroom. I watched her go, a smile tugging at my lips.

Once I heard the shower running, I got to work. I stripped the bed quickly, bundling up the stained sheets and tossing it in the laundry basket. A quick soak in cold water before throwing it in the wash would get the stain right out...easy. As I worked, I couldn't help but think about how lucky I was to have her. We'd been together for two years and every day, I fell more in love with her.

By the time Elizabeth came out of the bathroom, wrapped in her fluffy robe smelling like her favorite lavender shampoo, I had already made the bed with fresh sheets and was sitting on the edge, waiting for her.

"All sorted," I said cheerfully, patting the spot next to me.

She looked at me, her eyes still a bit sad and sat down beside me. "You didn't have to do all that," she said quietly, though there was a small smile playing on her lips. "Thank you, I love you."
