-----------------------------------

The sound of my engine vibrates through my body, the steering wheel firm under my gloved hands. Three laps left. Just three. I can taste the victory...it's so close I can feel it pumping through my veins. My first career win...I could see it now.

Just as I was mentally steadying myself, my radio crackled to life.

"Liv, you're doing great. Keep pushing. Carlos is right behind you. Let's do this."

I glance in my mirrors. Carlos is there, steady and relentless. My teammate. My friend. And right now, my rival. He was just far away enough that he couldn't enable DRS, making my giggle internally. This was mine and mine alone.

"Copy," I reply, trying to keep my voice calm, but my heart is pounding like a mad woman.

The corners come at me fast...sharp, unforgiving. The tires screech, the car feels light, almost like it's floating. My whole body is tense, my mind a battlefield of focus and fear. One mistake could ruin everything.

"Liv, ease up slightly on the final few turns. Carlos is too wide in the gap to catch you. Don't overpush. Let's bring it home clean. Gap to Sainz 7.3 seconds."

"Copy," I reply, my voice steadier now.

Two laps now. My hands ache from gripping the wheel too tightly, my neck stiff from the g-force. Sweat drips down my forehead, soaking into my balaclava. Every nerve is alive, every sound amplified...

The final lap. I can somehow hear the crowd cheer louder, or maybe I'm even imagining it, over the chaos of the car. My engineer chimes in one last time.

"Live, you're about to make history. You're nearly there."

"I've got this, Johnny."

The final straight. I push the throttle to its limit. The car screams, the finish line rushing toward me. And then-

-the checkered flag.

"YES! YES! YOU DID IT!" Johnny screams over the radio.

I cross the line, my hands trembling on the wheel. I did it. I WON. The first female in Audi F1 history to win.

I slow down, starting my cooldown lap and the emotions hit me like a tidal wave. Tears spill down my cheeks, mixing with the sweat. My helmet suddenly feels suffocating. The victory lap is surreal. The crowd is on their feet, waving flags and cheering. I wave back, overwhelmed.

"Olivia, you're probably freaking out right now, but just to add to the moment...you've been voted Driver of the Day. Fans loved every second of it. This is your day."

I let out a laugh, half disbelieving, half at a loss for words. Weird when you lose the ability to speak your native tongue because your emotions are at an all time high.

"Driver of the Day, too? Are you kidding me? Ten year old me is screaming internally."

"You earned it, champ."

I feel the tears well up again, but this time they're pure joy. The thought of so many people watching, cheering, believing in me...it's almost too much.

"Thank you," I call over, both to the team and Johnny. "Thank you for everything. This one was for all the girls who were said they couldn't make it out in F1, that it was a men's sport. This win proves that woman can do anything, just as good."
