Praying for Charles to finally win in Monaco ❤️
----------------------------------------------

"Charlie do you have the carseat set up in the Purosangue?" I called out to my chaotic husband who was running around trying to get everything we needed. Since Jules was born we had to start using the Purosangue instead of the Pista- much to Charles' dismay. We were getting ready for a roadtrip to Imola for his upcoming race.

"Yes mon ange, everything is good to go. Let me go put some sunscreen on Jules, then we can head out" he replied while kissing my lips. I laughed because when we started dating, I always made sure he was diligent with sun screen. Before me he would always burn in the sun. Although we would be in the car, we were very protective of Jules and his health.

Life had been amazing to us, we were blessed. Charles and I met 5 years ago at his home grand prix after I had joined my friend Charlotte to her boyfriends brothers race. Charlotte and Lorenzo had been dating for a while and insisted I come to the race since I was new to the area. I had moved to Monaco for work and was excited to witness my first grand prix in person. Moreso, I was excited to see Ferrari in action as I was born and raised in Italy, so obviously I was Tifosi.

Charles and I didn't immediately hit it off romantically right away. He traveled a lot for work, but when he was home, he made time to hang out and get to know one another. We spent one year building a strong friendship, which I think is the basis for a strong relationship. We realized we had a lot in common. After a year, Charles asked me to join him to the race in Suzuka, to which I happily obliged.

Things took off from there and we could no longer deny our connection. He asked me to be his girlfriend the weekend after the race. It was a special race for him since he had lost his godfather at the same track. I was honored that he opened up to me about his struggles since loosing him.

Since then it has been one big happy and chaotic adventure since. On our 2 year anniversary of dating he proposed to me following his win in Monaco, and we got married the following summer off the coast of Sardenia, surround by our closest friends and family. It was hard in the beginning with the distance, but we made a promise to each other that we would always communicate our feelings.

A year after our wedding, I found out I was pregnant. While we weren't trying to conceive, we weren't necessarily taking precautionary measures. We both agreed that we were adults at the ripe age of 27 and if it happened, it happened. Finding out I was pregnant was the best thing that had ever happened to me. Growing up in a household that wasn't the warmest, my dream was to raise a big family, full of love. I had cut off ties with my parents almost 10 years ago, and only kept in touch with my brother. We were very close to each other.

Charles childhood was vastly different than mine and I just knew he would be the perfect dad. He grew up in a family where his parents were in love and were loving to their children, everything I wanted for our little family. When I told him I was pregnant, and we confirmed it at the doctor, Charles cried. I had only seen him cry a few times while we were dating, so when he did over the news that we were going to be parents, my heart clenched. We always talked about wanting a large family and this was the first step.

I remember asking Lorenzo and Charlotte to help set-up our gender reveal. At first we didn't want to know, but curiosity got the best of us, so we organized an intimate gender reveal with Charles' family, my brother, his wife and our closest friends. When we found out he was a boy I think Charles almost passed out. We both agreed we didn't care what the gender was, as long as the baby was happy and healthy, but deep down I knew how excited Charles was. He was excited to share his life and career with his son, something his papa did with him. The day we found out it was a boy Charles and I agreed on a name, to pay homage to his godfather.
