Thrown Into Trouble

Alex's pov
Not long after I got off the phone with Winter we made it to the house. It would have taken a bit longer if Toby wasn't speeding but I can't blame him for speeding because I also would have. We pulled into the garage and once the car was parked Toby turned to look at Lily "i'll get the bags your bags" he says "that's alright I an get them" Lily says "i'll still help plus we also need to get Knox's things" Toby says "I can help get it" I say. Not even a second later there was a whine "Alex" Knox whines and I look at him and he is making grabby hands at me "I figured that's what would happen that's why I didn't ask you to help get their stuff" Toby explains which makes a lot of sense now. We all get out of the car except for Knox and I open his door and unbuckle him and then pick him up and hold him "there, is that better sweetheart?" I ask and he nods as he lays his head in the crook of my neck "I'll get our bags from back here" Lily says as she grabs the two duffle bags "ok" I say. I then make my way to the back of the car and grab Knox's two bags from back there and put them on one of my arms and use the other to hold Knox. I then make my way inside and go over to the sofas to put Knox's bags down until we get him situated in a room if they are even staying here that is. But on my way to the sofas I see two people sitting on them and it's Colton and Danny. Well they will find out anyway so i'm not going to change where I am putting his things for now so I go over to the sofa they aren't sitting on and set his two bags down.

I can feel both of their eyes on me which I don't mind but Knox did as he hid his face in my neck. I turned to face them and they didn't even try to hide that they were looking at me "we'll explain later but can y'all go help Lily and Toby get the rest of the bags out of the car please?" I ask "ok" Colton said cautiously before getting up and going to the garage. Danny stood up but came over to me instead of going to the garage "what happened?" he asks "I told you i'll tell y'all in a little bit" I said "did you tell Blake and Dylan yet?" he asked. I know I should have probably told them to come home to but I didn't want to disturb them but I completely forgot to tell them we were heading home like they asked me to "no I didn't want to bother them at work and I completely forgot to tell them we were coming back like they asked me to, so much was going on I didn't even think about it" I explained. Danny put his hand on my shoulder Knox wasn't laying on and squeezed it gently "i'm sure they won't mind once you explained what happened but now that you remembered and are home you should probably let them know you just got here" Danny says and then let's go of my shoulder. I nod because he is right I can at least tell them I am here now "ok" I say and then he goes out of the garage to go help get the bags meaning now they probably won't let Lily carry any of them. I take my phone out of my pocket and pull up my group chat with Blake and Dylan and type out what I want to say and then send it.

Me: Hey we made it home but Lily and her brother Knox are also here, something happened but i'll tell y'all when you get home.

I figured I should tell them they are here in case they come home while they are still here and have no idea what is going on. I feel my phone vibrate and see I got a text from Dylan which again I wasn't expecting a response so quickly.

Dylan: Thank you for telling us, and ok we'll be home in a few minutes.

Me: Ok drive safe ❤️

Dylan: we will ❤️

I knew Dylan most likely wasn't driving but I know he most likely will tell Blake what I said. Also I decided to take the step first this time and put a heart because I felt like putting one so I did it first this time and in return I got one back which made me smile. I then put my phone back in my pocket as I heard people coming inside and as I figured Lily wasn't carrying anything "guys I told you I could carry the bags" she said "we know but we wanted to help" Colton says. Toby was now carrying Lily's duffle bag and school backpack, Colton had Lily's two suitcases, and Danny had Knox's suitcase and duffle bag with his toys in it. Toby comes and puts the bags by the bags I put down on the sofa and Danny also puts Knox's duffle bag by those bags but they put the suitcases beside the sofa so that way they weren't blocking the way to the sofas. "So what exactly happened?" Danny asks and me, Toby, and Lily all look a each other, it's not really for me and Toby to tell well other then what happened with the car and for me what happened in the garage because she looked like she was going to throw the bottle at me at first before going to throw it at Lily. I look down at Knox and see he has fallen asleep while cuddled into his stuffie which is a duck, so I decide to sit down on the sofa and carefully open his bag with his blanket in it and pull it out and put it over us but mostly him. "We can talk about it once Winter gets here" Toby says and Lily looks thankful he said that and mouths a thank you to him "and Blake and Dylan they are on their way too and they would want to know" I say quietly so I don't accidentally wake Knox up.
