3½ Years Later
Ihsan's POV
I was dripping with sweat from head to toe, my body trembling with a stabbing pain. "I can't do this" I panted, fresh tears streaming down my face, warming the trails of previous tears that had dried on my puffy cheeks
My husband's hand no he's not gonna be husband after this, grasped mine, his eyes locked on mine, filled with encouragement and worry
Kaman dagaske (as if) if not for the pain I was in I'd have hissed
"You're doing great, wife" He whispered gently
"Just one more push don't give up kinji" He added wiping some of the sweat on my forehead
"Tun dazo (since) you've been saying that one more one more na gaji (I'm tired)" I said through gritted teeth
"Haba–"
"Ban gane haba ba (I don't understand haba) haba mene (haba what)" I snapped cutting him off
"Zaka gane(you'd understand) haba when I'm done" I glared at him with my teary eyes
"Ihsan push" The doctor said
"As you can see I'm dancing Shaku-Shaku not pushing" I snapped at the stupid doctor and surprisingly she just shook her head with a smile
Is this a joke to her
I glared at, my so called beloved as he mouths the words "I'm sorry" to the doctor, why is he apologising
The pain making my tone sharper. "You're enjoying this, aren't you? Watching me suffer like this. Two boys down, and now this little princess is taking her sweet time. You're probably thinking, 'Ah, three for the price of one!'"
"No" That's what he said but I saw a gleam of amusement in his eyes "You're doing great, wife" he whispered
I glared at him, panting. "Great? You think this is great? You're not the one pushing out three tiny humans"
He smiled in return and I'd be lying if I said even in this condition my heart didn't skip a beat"Just one more push, kinji. Our little princess is almost here"
"You're going to pay for this...in diaper changes and bathing and you're gonna be our ATM" I smiled a bit
"Bakomai, I'm going to buy that Audi that you've been dying to have" He grinned
"Really!" I asked mirroring his expression and he nodded
I smiled, despite the pain. "I love you, but I'm still blaming you for this triplet blessing not chaos cause they are gonna be the coolness of our eyes in shaa Allah" and he muttered in shaa Allah and placed a kiss on my sweaty forehead. Yuck
I took a deep breath, feeling the pain intensify, and bore down. My body strained, my muscles screaming in protest. The doctor's voice grew louder, more insistent, "Push! Push! Now! I can see the head"
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctor exclaimed, "She's here! Your little princess is here!" and my little girl's cry filled the room
My beloved's face lit up with joy, and he kissed me again, this time on the lips. "Alhamdulilah, Maa shaa Allah barakallah. Allah yayi miki albarka. We did it"
I smiled, feeling a mix of relief, exhaustion, and euphoria. "Amin. But which kain we? Abeg shift" i chuckled a bit
The nurse placed our little princess in my arms, and I gazed at her in wonder. She was perfect – tiny, delicate, and beautiful.Fair just like her brothers
