***Amaya's POV***
Since all the guards were distracted by Lu's and Ace's stunts, it was easy to find Kawamatsu's sword. Once that was found, I quickly grabbed the cuff keyes. I grabbed only a single set from the break room, so it wouldn't be discovered.
I made many copies of the key, using the wax-wax ability, so I could also help the other prisoners when the time came.
Stopping by Kid's cell unnoticed, I left a set of keys under an illusion on the floor. Once I launched the fireworks as our signal, the illusion would drop. I did the same for many other cells in the prison, knowing that everyone would jump at the chance to escape once chaos ensued.
My final stop was Kawamatsu's cell again. He had the best view of the action without fear of being seen from inside the dark cell. Returning his sword, Kawamatsu beamed in delight, struggling to keep his composure.
He cleared his throat. "Ama-san, when will we begin?"
I continued to watch as I hummed aloud in thought. "Ideally, I'd wait for Lu to finish whatever it is he's trying to learn right now, but I don't know if that's possible. From what I can hear, the old man on the platform with my two friends is teaching them the technique. For now, we'll watch and wait."
"Understood."
Turned out there was a lot of waiting to do. Lu and Ace fought all day while learning from the old man who was with them. Once night fell, the enemy decided to continue in the morning.
"Looks like that's it for today. Everything will start back up in the morning, which is probably when we'll make our move." I announced.
"You should rest while you can then, Ama-san. It looks like it's been some time since you've slept."
Great, just what every lady liked to hear. 'You look sleep deprived.' However, I heard Lu and Ace's stomachs growling from here, but I also heard a semi-familiar voice of Raizo.
He was the ninja that we met who was a part of Oden's original group of retainers.
Raizo and the swamp man that we encountered back on FishMan Island were teaming up in the kitchen. They were whispering to one another about stealing Queen's red bean soup to give to Ace, Lu and the old man teaching them.
I slouched against the wall in exhaustion. "Well, I was going to protest, but seeing as things are covered for now, I'll take up that offer." My eyes started to close.
"I'll keep an eye out in case anything happens." Kawamatsu reassured me as I fell into a quick sleep.
***Time Skip Brought to You by a Sleeping Chi***
I awoke naturally to light seeping into the cell. It was a good, deep sleep. One that I'd needed for a while now.
Stretching, I stood up, preparing myself for whatever may come today. Knowing my friends, nothing was out of the cards.
"Good Morning, Kawamatsu." My struggling voice horsley called. It was always rough first thing in the morning.
"Good Morning, Ama-san. There's been no change of movement since you've been asleep. The only real thing of note was that someone fed your friends so much that they are like puffer-fish now. Kappappappa."
"What about Queen? Anything there?" I wondered, looking out of the cell.
"They've been setting up for some sort of broadcast, but I don't know the details." Kawamatsu responded.
I nodded my head in understanding before looking at the blank screen. Next to the fighting podium where Lu and Ace were still positioned, there was a large backdrop that a snail projector would soon fill out.
