***Amaya's POV***

Apparently Kid and Law were both at the shoreline with their ships. The Sunny, Law's Sub, and Kid's ship were all parked next to each other, which was funny since the two men I was about to visit insisted that they weren't friends.

When I arrived they were griping over nothing of consequence. They simply bickered on whose injuries were healing the quickest despite how bandaged up they both were.

"Here I thought I healed everyone before I passed out." I inserted myself into their conversation. "Did you two dodge my light spheres?"

"Yaya, you're awake." Law redirected.

"Your light worked just fine, Red. We just had more damage compared to the rest, so don't go sobbing about it." Kid roughed.

"How are your injuries?" Law asked.

Now that he mentioned it, I felt great. My soreness and bumps had mostly resided, leaving me nearly back to normal. "Just a little stiff."

"Well, that's no surprise, considering we just took out an Emperor of the Sea." Kid acknowledged before smirking at me. "Did you happen to fall in love with me after seeing my grand display of power?"

"As if," Law interjected. "She was definitely more impressed by my technique than yours. I bet she's even thrilled to replicate it herself one day. After all, she wanted my ability to copy not yours." He gloated.

Kid scoffed at Law. "She copied my knowledge instead, so it's not like you're any better off than I am." He turned to look at me. "Whatdaya say, Red? Will you join my crew yet?"

I sweatdropped at the turn in conversation, but thankful at the same time. This made for an easier transition into what I came to discuss. "Sorry, Kid, but my answer remains the same."

"I challenge you, Amaya." Kid's use of my actual name took me off guard. "I challenge you to a one strike duel. We will each take one attack from the other, and the winner will have their way. You win, and I'll help you build any flying machine you want in the future. That's what you want, right?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah, that's the plan after this. I'm going to finish rebuilding my island." I looked at his determined eyes. "What do you want, Kid?"

"You," he declared. "I want you on my crew by my side as I find the One Piece. What do you say, Red? Are you up for the challenge?"

"Yaya, you don't have to entertain this-"

"It's okay, Law." I interrupted him before looking back at Kid with a smile. "I accept your challenge, Kid. For the final verdict of me joining your crew or not, agreed?"

"Agreed." Kid lifted his one hand to shake mine, so I lifted mine in turn to shake. "And since we don't have sake to make a pirates agreement," he started before pulling me in for a surprise kiss on the lips. He pulled away with a wicked grin. "I'll settle for that."

"Why you!" Law positioned his hand to summon room before I lifted my hand to him.

"I'm fine, Law. I survived the first time, so I'll be fine this time. Although," I turned to Kid. "That'll be the last time." I declared.

Kid laughed as he started to give us some space for our upcoming attacks on each other. "We'll see, Red. Once you join my crew, you'll fall for me soon enough."

I started to walk opposite of him, allowing for equal space for us to attack. "A bold assumption, thinking that you're about to win this duel. We've declared the stakes, and that we will attack only once while the other person doesn't dodge. I'll allow you the first hit since you're so determined to have me."
