***Amaya's POV***
It was time to get this show on the rough waters on the way: to Kaido's stronghold, Onigashima. After some plans were made between the samurai and the minks, I grabbed my air board to take the lead on this raid.
Lu's crew was distracted since Jimbei had officially joined his crew after handling his final affairs with Big Mom, so I was the first to spot a huge shrine gate in the middle of the water.
Under the giantaic shrine gate was a mini fortress, lined with soldiers, cannons, and man-made deterrents. The soldiers were all drinking themselves silly, making them all sport matching red faces.
There were about five hundred or so guarding the shrine gate, making them all but sitting targets. Soon they became alert as Lu's ship came into view, but it was all too late.
Gathering large bolts of lightning in hand and directly using the natural electrical currents within the storm, I summoned a single blast of lightning that destroyed the small island that the shrine gate stood on, along with all the guards who protected it. It was the largest move I could use with the rumble ability, almost matching the destructive potential that Eneru could use with it.
"AMA, stop stealing all the fun!" Lu whined while the rest stood in silence.
I smiled back at him. "You better hurry up then, or else I'll beat you again, Lu!" I challenged before continuing to make my way towards Onigashima.
"Not if I get to them first! Jimbei sped up the ship!" I heard Lu call from behind.
I trekked on. I took notice of the island's layout as I climbed higher into the sky. The perimeter of the island was covered in tall mountains on either side of the circular island with what appeared to be a waterway entrance in the front, which meant intruders would be an easy target once they entered.
Then again, knowing that Lu and his crew would likely be at the front of the charge, along with Kid and his crew, there shouldn't be a need to worry about the samurai. Despite being decoys, the pirates on this raid were strong. Strong enough to plow through all the grunts put in their path, which would allow our regular fighters more strength for later in the battle.
There was also the likelihood that Law would guess the other two captains' plans and use that to his advantage. While formidable in his own right, Law preferred to use his brain rather than brute strength when it came to battles such as these. He'll likely use his sub ship to go around to the back of the island and avoid the minions all together.
Since the samurai are with him, he'll probably take some of the Kozuki with him through the back door, A.K.A. his devil fruit. The mountains, if there are any on the back of the island, wouldn't be an obstacle for him.
With all this in mind, I decided to go around to the side of the island before air scaling one of the mountains. It was time to regroup with Chi and get my plane. We'll need a plan with the plane, deciding if it's best to keep it in action, or if I should just stick with the air board for quicker mobility. Then again, I also have to consider Chi's fighting ability. I might have her stay in the sky as a back up plan while Ace and I join the ground forces. This war will be played by ear in deciding what the best move should be.
When I got to the tip of the mountain, I kept gaining air in spiral movements to climb higher. Chi seemed to understand my goal since the plane came down to pick me up. Deactivating the air board, I entered the plane with the board in hand.
"CHi cHI?" She questioned once I was inside.
"Momo's safe and everyone is on route to battle."
"What's the plan now?" Ace questioned from the backseat.
