Mahak's sharp voice had everyone's attention fixed on her, including Harsh, who couldn't take his eyes off her. Composed yet firm, Mahak spoke, "You all can't just force Harsh Bhaiya into marrying anyone. His marriage will happen with the one he loves. Uncle, there's no need to get so angry. Let's discuss this calmly. And Dadi, who can go against your words? But let Harsh Bhaiya make the decision about his own life."

Interrupting her, Sudha said, "Alright then, who does he like? Tell us her name, and we'll get him married to her. But, dear, we still believe Suresh Ji is right. What if Harsh has fallen into bad company?"

"Mom, not you too!" Harsh interjected, clearly annoyed. "I don't want to get married, no matter what you all think!"

Mahak walked up to him quietly and said in a low voice, "Bhaiya, then just tell them her name. Look, the family is willing to listen to you now."

Harsh raised a brow, confused. "What are you talking about? Which girl?" he asked, shooting her a questioning glance.

Before Mahak could respond, Rajni interrupted, having noticed the two whispering. "Alright, enough drama for one day! This isn't a matter to be sorted by yelling at each other. Suresh, calm down and talk sensibly about this. Harsh, go freshen up. Gauri, come with me to the kitchen. And Sudha, have some patience," she said, walking off to the kitchen herself.

As Harsh headed to his room, Mahak followed him. Once inside, she said softly, "Bhaiya, why are you hiding it from everyone? No one will judge you. Just tell them the truth."

"Which girl are you talking about?" Harsh asked, his tone cautious.

Mahak hesitated but then replied softly, "The girl you were talking to that day. I'm sorry, Bhaiya, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I overheard you. You said, 'If I ever marry, it'll only be you. You're mine, and I dare anyone else to try and take you away. Let's see who can marry you.'"

Mahak's voice grew gentler as she spoke, knowing these were Harsh's private feelings she had stumbled upon. Harsh froze for a moment, the weight of her words sinking in. He didn't say anything, just walked to the window and stood there, staring outside.

Mahak, seeing his silence, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Bhaiya, are you okay?" she asked, her voice full of concern.

Hearing her, Harsh turned and suddenly pulled her into a hug. The unexpected gesture left Mahak stunned. She could feel him struggling to hold back his tears, but some battles are harder to win. His composure broke, and tears began to stream down his face.

Mahak realized he was crying, and her heart clenched. She gently patted his back and whispered, "Bhaiya, what happened? If you don't want to tell the family, it's okay. I promise I won't say a word to anyone. But please, don't cry. I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way."

Harsh tried to steady himself, pulling away from the hug as he wiped his tears. His voice was heavy with emotion as he sat her down on the bed and then knelt on the floor beside her. Looking at the ground, he spoke, "Bhabhi Maa, this isn't your fault. It's mine... all mine. I've been hiding this from everyone because it's my mistake that I lost Shanya And now... now she'll never come back to me."

Mahak placed her hand gently on Harsh's head, her voice soft yet probing, "What's wrong, bhai? Tell me everything. I know you. You couldn't even think about hurting someone, let alone actually do it."
