★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

The entire ride back home, Mahak didn’t say a single word to Rudra.
Not a question. Not a glance.
She simply stared out the window, her expression unreadable.
And Rudra? He didn’t push her.
He just… let her be.

As soon as they arrived at Singh Mansion, the house lit up with joy.

Everyone gathered around, offering their congratulations.
Their relationship was no longer a secret.
Mahak was now officially Rudra Pratap Singh’s wife.
Every headline said it. Every eye saw it.
Even Mrs. Khanna was present in the mansion, silently observing.

Rudra was about to head upstairs to their room when Alok stepped forward, stopping him midway.

“Rudra, I need a word with you. Come to my study for a bit.”

Without protest, Rudra followed him.

Meanwhile, Mahak quietly made her way to the bedroom.

The conversation between Rudra and Alok took longer than expected.
And before Rudra could return, he got pulled into another meeting with Shivansh, discussing urgent business matters.

By the time he was finally free and looked at the clock—
It was already late. Midnight.

He frowned. Something felt… off.
Mahak hadn’t come to call him. Not even once.
Strange.

Upstairs, Mahak lay on the bed, wide awake.
Her mind spinning in circles.

“How do I become worthy of a man like Rudra?”
“How do I fit into his world—so sharp, so powerful, so far from the simplicity I come from?”

She didn’t realize she was holding her breath until—

She felt the warmth of a hand wrap gently around her waist.

Her eyes widened. Her body stiffened.

Rudra leaned in, close enough for his whisper to brush against her ear.

Babydoll

But Mahak didn’t respond — instead, she pretended to be asleep.
Rudra glanced at her, and seeing her eyes closed, he assumed she had drifted off.

He gently slid his hand beneath her kurti, resting it softly on her waist, and buried his face in the curve of her neck.

Pulling her close into his embrace, Rudra cuddled her tightly… and slowly fell asleep beside her.

The morning sunlight filtered softly through the curtains, but Mahak’s eyes fluttered open to an empty bed. She blinked, adjusting to the brightness, and instinctively reached to her side—Rudra wasn’t there.

Her heart skipped a beat.

She grabbed her phone—8:00 AM.

“What the hell? I’m this late?” she muttered, hurriedly getting out of bed. Throwing on a dupatta, she rushed downstairs.

The sight downstairs was oddly calm. Everyone—Raaj, Harsh, Simran, Shanya,Rajni, dadi  even Sudha —sat together in the living area, casually sipping tea. But the moment they saw Mahak, everyone turned to look at her.

“come  Mahak... where is Rudra ?" someone asked.

“I—I don’t know...” she mumbled, confused.
