Harsh glanced at Shanya, trying to figure out how to respond. Should he reveal his real identity or not? Her words made it clear she wasn't fond of people with power. Finally, he spoke, his voice measured, "Actually, I own a company."

Shanya raised an eyebrow, misinterpreting him. "Oh, so you work in a company? That's great, dude! Your career's set. Look at me, still stuck in the struggle. By the way, where do you live? Are you from Banaras?"

"No, I live in Lucknow," Harsh replied cautiously.

The moment she heard the word Lucknow, Shanya practically bounced on her feet. "Oh my God, no way! I live in Lucknow too!" She extended her hand for a handshake, a wide smile lighting up her face. "So, friends?"

Harsh hesitated for a beat before shaking her hand. "Yes, friends. And, uh, I'm sorry about the other day... you know, unloading all my sob stories without thinking. Must've wasted your me-time."

Shanya waved it off with a laugh. "Please, don't mind actually I make friends super quickly."

"Well, I don't," Harsh admitted, his tone is dry but amused.

The two wandered through the bustling streets of Banaras, talking about everything and nothing. Before they realized it, midnight had crept up on them.

Harsh glanced at his watch. "It's late. Let me drop you back at your hotel."

Shanya shrugged. "It's not that late." But when she pulled out her phone, her eyes widened. "Oh, crap, it *is* late-12 already! And look at these missed calls from home."

Harsh chuckled and escorted her to her hotel. As she stepped inside, she turned back. "When do we meet again?"

"I'm heading back to Lucknow tomorrow," Harsh said.

Shanya rummaged through her bag and handed him her card. "Here's my number and address. Call me when you're free. Don't forget, okay?" She waved goodbye and disappeared inside.

The next day, Harsh returned to Lucknow, but something fell off. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't focus on work. His thoughts kept drifting back to Shanya. Finally, unable to resist, he fished out her card and dialed her number.

After a few rings, she picked up. "Who's this?"

"It's... Harsh," he said softly.

"Oh! You remembered me," she teased. "What's up?"

"Nothing much. Just sitting around. Thought I'd call."

"Wow, no office today? Or are you slacking off?" she teased.

"No, just a holiday," he said with a slight laugh. They talked for a bit, the conversation was light and effortless.

"So, when are you coming back to Lucknow?" Harsh asked.

"Tomorrow," Shanya replied. "I've wrapped up work here, and my cousin's wedding is coming up in a week. There's a lot to get done."

"Alright. Once you're free, let's meet up," Harsh said before they hung up.

For the rest of the day, Harsh couldn't stop thinking about their conversation. Talking to Shanya felt... different. She was the first person in years who had managed to break through his usual walls so quickly. Normally, Harsh hated small talk, but with her, it wasn't small-it was meaningful.

And for once, he found himself looking forward to tomorrow.

**It had been a day since Harsh had spoken to Shanya, but it felt like an eternity to him. They hadn't known each other for long, but their connection was undeniable. They enjoyed each other's company like a favorite tune you can't get out of your head. Harsh liked Shanya because she was the first girl he ever opened up to, and Shanya liked Harsh because he was the only person who listened to her silly ramblings as if they were profound revelations.**
