Tobin's POV;

"This feels like the longest night of my life," Tobin whines, as she lets out a long sigh.

"Wow, annoyed with me already?" The younger girl pouts, placing her hand on Tobin's knee.

"No! No!" Tobin begins, not wanting Alex to get the wrong impression. "It's just that, 12 hours ago, I wouldn't have ever imagined any of this happening in a lifetime. And it all happened within a day" Tobin finishes, shaking her head in disbelief.

Alex loved her. Alex Morgan was in love her. She's dreamt about this for years, never in her wildest dreams could she imagine this actually falling through. Tobin was on cloud 9. She couldn't even think about the downsides to this right now. All she wanted was Alex. She didn't care about Servando, the Thorns, the National Team, or the media right now. She knew eventually all of this would have to be sorted out, but right now she just wanted to be with Alex.

Tobin sees Alex begin to exit the car, and as soon as Tobin's about to open her own door, the striker opens it for her. Extracting a smile from Tobin & she could feel her cheeks burning with nervousness. Even though Tobin always found herself 100% comfortable with Alex, Alex could always manage to display small acts of affection to her in the most subtle ways, that made Tobin feel like it was the first time they met.

"Thanks, superstar" Tobin speaks softly, smirking slightly at Alex.

Alex just nods at her & then opens their apartment building door for her moments later.

"I didn't know you were such a gentleman, Alex" Tobin laughs, as Alex shuts the door behind them.

Alex turns around and laughs at the midfielder. "Only for you, my lady" Alex says, in a British accent as she takes a small bow infront of Tobin.

Moments like this made Tobin fall even harder for Alex. Being foolish like kids made Tobin think about how young they were when they first met. And how their almost childish and joking personalities instantly clicked.

*Flashback (2011)*
"Alright everyone,"  Coach Sundhage shouts, clapping her hands together. "Partner up!" She finishes. As the girls scramble to find partners.

It's the year of the World Cup. And it's Tobin's first year on the USWNT. She looks around to see her fellow "new kids", Cheney and Amy had already partnered up, leaving her the odd man out.

"Hey" A raspy voice calls from behind the midfielder.

Tobin turns around to see the most beautiful pair of blue eyes shes ever seen. Paired with a glowing white smile, and legs that looked like they went on for days. The girl's long brown locks are tied up into a ponytail with a pink headband holding back the loose strands. Tobin was at a loss for words. She hadn't talked to this girl before, ever. But she knew who it was. Alex Morgan. The youngest girl on the team, but definitely one of the most talented. And breathtaking. Tobin was never the most outgoing person & usually needed to be talked to first if any conversation was gonna take place. Especially if they were with someone as beautiful as Alex Morgan.

"Do you need a partner?" The rich, raspy voice asks, squinting at Tobin due to the suns poor placement.

Tobin probably looked like an idiot right now, because no words could come out of her mouth.

"Anybody home?" The striker asks, giggling at Tobin's lack of responsiveness.

Tobin shakes her head to knock herself out of her thoughts and finally manages to get her words out. "Me! I'm home" Tobin says quickly, pointing at herself.
