Alex's POV;
After all the things that have happened the past 2 days, Alex was grateful that the remainder of the week consisted of the pair visiting their favorite spots in Portland, lots and lots of cuddling, and Alex cooking Tobin, literally every meal. Although, whenever Tobin would ask, Alex would pout and sigh as if she didn't want to. But, she actually loved cooking for the older girl. Seeing Tobin happy made Alex feel as though she was on cloud nine, especially when it was her that caused the older girls joy. It had been 5 days since Tobin was home & time flew by faster than either of them had hoped. They had about 2 weeks left before they had to go to their first camp of the national team season & they both dreaded it as much as they looked forward to it. Alex and Tobin haven't discussed what they're going to say to the team and potentially the media about what's going on between them. They both have seen several articles and tabloids of Servando partying and being asked where his "fiancé" was. His answers were always along the lines of "She's focusing on her game right now", or "She's not feeling well". Alex was somewhat grateful that the man wasn't being public with the split quite yet, but that meant that it was up to her to make it known. Even though Tobin always reassured the striker that she was fine with Alex being quiet about the split at the moment, the midfielder's body language suggested something else.
Alex made her way to the the couch after tidying up the kitchen after an incredibly sloppy Tobin, trashed it in the process of getting ice cream.
"Tobin, seriously, you never clean up anything" Alex whines, switching on the TV to see what was on.
"What?! Yes I do!" Tobin rebuts, walking into the living room and smiling brightly at the younger girl.
She takes a seat next to Alex and gives her a bite of her ice cream. The striker relaxes into Tobin's side and Tobin drapes an arm around her.
"So... You'll never guess who I got off the phone with" Tobin begins, making Alex nervous to hear her finish.
"Um... Hopefully not another surprise girlfriend?" Alex jokes, resting one of her hands on Tobin's bare stomach and rubbing small circles on it.
Tobin lets out a small laugh and pulls Alex closer to her. "Ha, ha, ha. Very funny, Lex" She grumbles sarcastically. "Actually, it was Kelley" She says, causing Alex's worries to wash away.
"No way! That's great! What's she up to? How's she been?! Is she coming to visit?! Did she ever get that new dog?!" Alex chimes, ridiculously excited to hear about the defender's correspondence with Tobin.
"Chill, Lex!" The midfielder laughs at Alex's lack of patience. "As a matter of fact, she is coming to visit. And she didn't give us much notice because she's coming tonight" Tobin finishes, as she sets down the bowl that she was eating out of.
"Well, you should probably clean up this place because it's pretty gross & I've done enough picking up after you for the past week" Alex rants, grabbing Tobin's now dirty dish and taking it into the kitchen to clean it.
"If you would have left that there, then I would have got it! You never give me a chance to clean up! If I would have cleaned the kitchen as soon as I got my ice cream, it would have melted before I got to eat it. So my plan was to clean up everything when I was done!" Tobin explains, waving her arms around the more heated she gets.
"Whatever, Tobin. You just know I'm gonna clean it up so you leave it" Alex states, glancing at Tobin as she smiles slightly, as if to confirm what Alex just said.
Alex feels Tobin's arms wrap around her waist and her chin rest on the strikers shoulder, as she continues cleaning the dishes.
"We sound like an old married couple" Tobin chuckles, beginning to sway Alex back and forth.
