Alex's POV;
"Okay, so you can't even tell me that if she dyed her hair platinum blonde, she wouldn't look like a little fairy angel child" Kling argues, and Alex rolls her eyes.
"I don't know, I could never picture Tobin as a blonde. She's too tan" The striker rebuts and Meghan shakes her head.
"What are you two talking about?" Kelley hops over the lobby couch from behind and sits right between her 2 team mates.
The defender opens up a water bottle, and before Alex or Meghan can respond to her question, she begins chugging it.
In seconds, the liquid that filled the bottle has vanquished and Kelley lets out a long sigh as she tosses the bottle on the glass table infront of them.
"That might be a new record, how many seconds was that?" Kelley folds her hands behind her head and props her feet up on the table.
Alex shoots the oldest girl a puzzled look as she sits there with her jaw dropped in either shock, or confusion, at the events that just unfolded.
The youngest girl glances between the striker and her fellow defender repeatedly, waiting for a response.
"I, uh... I'm not sure Kel" Alex laughs, picking up the empty bottle to examine it and then setting it back down.
The defender's begin chit chatting about something that the striker has no idea about so she wanders into her own thoughts for a moment.
But that moment is soon cut short when she hears Tobin's laugh nearing her.
She allows her eyes to follow the sound and she sees her ex walking with Moe.
Alex can't help but smile at the sight of the older girl happy. She watches the midfielder as she throws her head back in amusement at whatever the other midfielder is saying to her, her bright white teeth almost blinding to the striker. The immensely large amount of windows in the hotel lobby allowed sunlight to pour in almost effortlessly, and the light radiated off Tobin's tan skin making her look too good for this world.
The pair draw nearer and Alex moves her eyes away before the older girl catches on, but she fears she's too late as Tobin shoots her a quick wink.
"Moe!" Kling shouts, causing Alex to divert her attention from the midfielder, to the defender. "I've been looking for you all day, I have to show you this video I found on Twitter earlier. You're seriously gonna die" She rises from the couch and smiles at Morgan like a child.
"It's not that funny" Kelley says, setting down the magazine she was skimming through.
"Shut up Kelley, you don't think anything is funny" Meghan says, and Kelley pretends to mock her.
Moe and Kling begin walking together towards the stairs and the remaining defender glances at Tobin and Alex for a moment awkwardly.
"Yeah so I'm gonna let you guys hang out here for a while," Kelley slowly gets off the couch. "Alone," she continues, smirking at them. "Together"
She darts after her roommate and her fellow defender in a frenzy, leaving Alex alone with the older girl.
Tobin sits down beside Alex and places her hands on her knees.
"So uh," The midfielder begins, rubbing her hands up and down her knees nervously. "Can you tell me what my surprise tonight is?"
Alex grins at the reappearance of the older girl's constant impatience.
"No Tobin, that defeats the whole point of a surprise," Alex explains, knowing that she has to be smiling like an idiot just because she's with Tobin. "Plus, it'll be worth the wait"
