HEY GUYS!! I'm sorry I haven't updated in so long, but school has been crazy hectic and I haven't had a lot of down time. I hope you guys understand, and I'm gonna try and get back on track with this story! Much love as always :)
___________________________Alex's POV;
"Why do you always take so long to get ready!?" Tobin's voice calls from outside the bathroom door.
Alex grins to herself and stuffs her phone in her pocket. The striker was always easily distracted and caught herself spending a majority of her time 'getting ready' actually, playing on her phone in the bathroom. She never realized how much time she spent, but Tobin always called for her eventually, so that's when she figured too much time had passed.
Alex opens the door and sees her girlfriend sprawled out on the bed, her head hanging upside down off the foot of the bed.
Tobin's head perks up suddenly to view the younger girl and she frowns at her, "It took you long enough"
"You love me" Alex grins, as she walks by the midfielder.
Tobin suddenly grabs Alex's forearm and yanks her back towards her, kissing her lips quickly and lightly, retracting a smile from the striker's lips.
"Are you ready now babe?" Tobin gets up from the bed and begins walking to the door.
Alex nods at her and follows Tobin to the door.
They make their way down to the lobby and Alex follows the midfielder's lead as the cool air and darkness of the night engulfs her.
"So what's the game plan for tonight superstar?" Alex asks, peering over at the older girl.
Tobin furrows her brow at the question and glances over at the striker with a grimace on her face. "Don't call me superstar, you can't steal my nickname for you" Tobin ridicules her.
"Yeah, it felt weird after I said it," Alex laughs. "After all, there can only be one superstar in this relationship" She brags, smirking at Tobin.
Tobin smiles a toothless grin and rolls her eyes at the comment.
The striker feels Tobin's larger hand wrap around her own for a moment, and Alex grins at the contact.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot" Tobin frowns, releasing the younger girl's hand and stuffing her own hand into her jacket pocket.
Alex understood and respected the position the pair were in when it came to their relationship, however, she didn't always enjoy it. She wanted more than anything to go out with the older girl whenever she wanted with no fear of the media or anybody scrutinizing them or plastering tabloids about them to the world. Tobin constantly told the striker, 'It's all good' or 'Don't worry about it' or 'It's fine' when it came to them not being able to be affectionate in public. But she knew it bugged the older girl, just as much, if not more than the striker.
Tobin makes her way to a random parked vehicle and gets in the driver's seat.
Alex opens the door slowly and questions the midfielder before getting in it, "Who's car is this?"
"Mine now. Well, it's a rental, but, technically mine" Tobin explains, starting up the car.
"Wise choice" Alex grins, realizing how similar the Range Rover is to her own in Portland.
"Did you expect anything less from me?" Tobin boasts, pulling out into the road.
"No, of course not babe" Alex tells Tobin, as if the girl needed anymore of an ego boost.
