(The quieter years at Hogwarts, the little moments of George and Lucinda dating)

The early afternoon sun filtered through the canopy of the Forest, casting dappled shadows on the soft moss below. Lucinda Sparks sat with her back against a wide oak tree, a book resting forgotten in her lap. Her dark hair tumbled over her shoulders as she gazed at the forest floor, her mind far from the pages she had been reading. The stillness of the forest was broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of birds.

A gentle crunch of footsteps on the forest path caught her attention. She looked up just in time to see George Weasley stepping into view, his trademark grin lighting up his freckled face. In his hands was something unexpected: a small crown of wildflowers, their delicate petals swaying slightly as he approached.

"Found you," George said, his voice warm and teasing. Without waiting for her permission, he bent down and carefully placed the crown on her head. The flowers framed her dark hair perfectly, their bright colors a stark contrast against her cloak.
Lucinda's lips curved into a smile, and then she laughed, the sound light and carefree. "What are you doing?" she asked, her tone tinged with amusement as she reached up to touch the crown.

"Making sure everyone knows who the queen of the forest is," George replied, plopping down beside her with a satisfied expression. He leaned back on his hands, watching her reaction.

Lucinda rolled her eyes, but the smile on her face didn't fade. Reaching for her wand, she picked up a handful of fallen leaves and began to weave them together with precise flicks of her wrist. George watched, his head tilting slightly as he admired the careful movements of her hands.

"What are you up to now?" he asked, leaning closer to peer at her work.

"Making you a crown because I love you," she said, smiling as the leaves twisted into a makeshift crown. When she was satisfied, she turned to George and placed it on his head. "There. Now you will be the king at my side."

George chuckled, reaching up to adjust the green woven crown. "Does it suit me?"

"Perfectly," Lucinda said with mock seriousness, leaning back against the tree. Her smile softened as she looked at him. "How did you know I'd be here?"

George shrugged, though his expression turned tender. "I know you come here on weekends. You always say it's the best place for picking flowers and clearing your head. Plus," he added with a mischievous glint in his eye, "I'm brilliant at finding you."

Lucinda shook her head, her laughter returning. George reached for her hand, lifting it gently to his lips. His gaze held hers as he pressed a soft kiss to her knuckles, the warmth of his touch sending a pleasant shiver through her.

"You're so wonderful, you know that?" Lucinda teased, though her cheeks were faintly flushed.

"Only for you," George said with a wink, settling beside her as the forest seemed to wrap them in its quiet embrace.
