Sonic's P.O.V

Blaze and Silver are gone. Amy was crying from the whole proposal. I had to continuously whisper to her to stay quiet, or else we'd get caught. I, however, can't help but smile at the excitement Ames has for our friends.

"It was so beautiful, one day I want that kind of love to find me too, my tarot cards say it's bound to happen," she grins proudly, looking up at the sky.
"You think it'll happen between you and Dexter?"
"Who's to say?" She'd giggle happily before sitting on the grass.

I was about to ask if she should be heading home because of how late it was, but it gave me an excuse to be around her longer so I didn't protest. Placing myself down beside her, we momentarily looked up at the stars.
I steal a glance at Amy. She sure does look beautiful, even without trying. Her quills are blowing slightly in the wind. Her perfect jade eyes are sparkling up at the stars.

"How are you and Dexter anyway?"
"Not too bad- We're really just testing the waters for now..."
"You know... I can't help but be surprised, I thought you were always more selective with dating."
"I mean- that's true, but if the prince charming of my dreams isn't around, maybe I'm the one that needs to be looking..."
Quietly, I'd look at her. I can't help but want to be that prince charming, and there was once I was. I messed up. I was a jerk to her at times, too.
"Now, what about you?"
"Me?" I can't help but get shy by the way that's suggested.
Quickly her eyes widen and defensively she puts her hands up. "Oh not like that- I wasn't suggesting you to be my prince charming- don't worry you've been like a brother for me this whole time, always looking out for me" She'd smile softly but I can't help but wince. Yikes. I went from being friend zoned to becoming a brother.
"Brother huh?"
" You are charming, though..." I felt my face go red. How could she say that so smoothly? She'd grin.
"Don't tell me I'm able to make the fastest stranger alive shy?" she teased.
"Stranger? I can't be that much of a stranger still, can I?" I ask.
"No, you're not, but it's a new nickname for you considering how much I've called you it..." The pretty hedgehog explained.
I can't help but laugh.
"Well I don't really know about me... Feelings tend to be... Complicated..."
"I mean, that's understandable," she smiles, now fixating her eyes on me, and I can't help but blush once more from this simple action.
"Really? Understandable for the Miss Amy Rose?"
"You make that seem like a question," she giggles with confusion.
"Well, you always seem so sure about how you feel..."
"I'm not, but whatever my heart tells me, I just seem to go with it... See where it leads me. Sometimes, you just need to trust."

I don't understand how, but the conversation kept flowing easily. Things in general seem easy. Explaining things to her that I feel seem to be understood easily. She finds my jokes funny, and I can't help but keep wanting to make her laugh. In this moment, I'm able to have her to myself. Which I've missed, ever since she's forgotten me, it feels as though she's a bit more distanced from me. The conversation moves so easily that the sun is already rising, that me and Ames and I are still sitting on the grass. Enjoying each others company... Just me and Ames...
