Day 63

Amy's P.O.V

Searching for a gift for Blaze is hard. Her birthday is in nine days. NINE. She's also one of my bestest friends so it has to be perfect... I'm looking through the mall with sonic by my side as he has his arms behind his head as he walks... It's so hard to decide what to get her. My ribs still ache and I wince from the pain as I walk although I try to hide it I know Sonic notices as he looks over at me.

Sonic's P.O.V

"Walk slower Ames, take it easy..."
I gently rub her shoulder. I still can't believe she fell from her attic.
"Walk slow? I thought your whole thing was gotta go fast?" She snickered.

What? I do not remember ever saying that to her.
"Eh? Where'd you learn that from?"
"You have a lot of fangirls" she explained as she began to walk again. I roll my eyes before following after her. Little does she know she was one of those fangirls...
"Don't try to change the conversation smarty pants just make sure to tell me when you need to take a break..."
She'd just smile in response and as her eyes looked at me I could feel my heart began to race it felt like I was drowning as I looked into them.

My cheeks were burning, it felt like they had been set on fire, quickly my head turned pretending as though I was looking around also - however the main purpose was to hide my face. She was so cute... Even without trying...

She'd gasp, "sonikku! Look!"

Silver's P.O.V

There's so many different options. Why is there so many options? How do I choose what's right? Well Blaze always wears gold as opposed to silver... I glance at the gold rings and one catches my eye it has a red garnet in the center.

It's perfect. Next I look at the price: it's overwhelming... I get more shocked and scream when I felt my right arm tugged down breaking my thought process of what organ I'd need to give to be able to afford such an expensive piece of jewellery.

"Silver!" The pink hedgehog smiled.
Next I felt an arm lean on my left shoulder, "Hey bud~ whatcha up to?" Sonic asked smoothly.
"Nothing! A-absolutely nothing" I stagger back in shock as I face them. Frazzled I quickly turn to look around in case Blaze was around somehow also.
"Relax Silvy... We won't tell" Amy reassured softly as she put her hands out and gently held mine, "did you see one you liked?"

Sonic's P.O.V
Amy's so sweet. I would have enjoyed teasing him more and letting him panic a bit longer though.

"I did actually..."
"That's cool, which one is it?" I glance over at the glass cabinet trying to see which one he was planning to get.
"It doesn't matter it's way out of my budget..."
"It can't be that bad..." Amy comforted swaying him to tell us.

He sighed letting go of Amy's hands and turned to face the cabinet before pointing at the ring 2,500 rings?! My mouth dropped in shock.
"Gee bud, I'm sure Blaze wouldn't mind getting a different one... She's not Rouge after all..."
"But I wanted it to still be special for her..."

I watched as Amy gave a soft smile, "you know what Silvy? I have quite a bit saved up, get the ring for Blaze I'm sure She'd love it... But keep this between us okay?"
"What? I couldn't!"
"I insist, I'd be offended if you didn't..."

I couldn't help but be curious. Where did she get all those rings from? Before asking I watch Amy look up from her salad and she slowly answers as if knowing my thoughts already.
"I always wanted to travel- but something always seemed to stop me... the strange thing is I don't even remember what was the main reason..."
I never knew Amy wanted to travel or maybe- I just hadn't listened... I ran a lot...  Her eyes began to glisten with tears. Ames... She'd wince, I think crying hurt her ribs I'd get over from my side of the bench and would slide in next to her gently wrapping my arm around her allowing her to cry on my shoulder, "I'm sorry..." she whimpered, "I think it's something to do with what I forgot..."

I feel guilt overwhelm me her hands are shaking... My other hand glides into hers intertwining slowly. In this moment she's all that matters...

"Hey..." I softly said, "you want to explore right? I don't know if you know this but I can run... Like really fast..."
She lets out a soft laugh through the tears, "really? I hadn't noticed..."
"You want to explore right?... let's go explore"
"But I don't have anything packed..."
"Doesn't matter, let's just go..." I smile and her eyes glisten. I get up from the bench and continue to hold her hand beckoning her to stand up and gently I scoop her up. In response she laughs and I know I'd do anything to keep that smile on her face.
"Where to first m'lady?"
"Surprise me"
Like that i dashed off with her in my arms.

She'd gasp with joy, "Paris? Really? Oh sonikku! I've always loved the idea of Paris!"
"Well you are a romantic Ames..."
"You know... it's sad you know so much about me and I can't remember anything about you... I have learn from scratch..."
"Don't worry I'm still learning about you also..."

It was dark already which made the lights sparkle beautifully and I could tell Amy was excited she would hop up and down slightly with her tippy toes.

We were at the Eiffel Tower and there were plenty of little stalls around, while Amy was occupied I bought a pink Polaroid camera and took a picture of her admiring the view. She looked so beautiful.

Her ears quickly perked at the sound of the camera shutter and she'd giggle happily dragging me by the arm and she'd take the camera from me and would set it down to take a picture of us together and I'd laugh putting bunny ears behind her head and she'd begin to tickle my neck with her hands.

So... I may have got lost... And refused to ask for directions, so the museums are all closed however I did successfully make my way to the Luxembourg Gardens.

"I guess it's true, men can't ask for directions" Amy grinned and in return I would just stick my tongue out, "aww sonikku come on, it's okay at least we got here in the end..."
I couldn't help but be embarrassed and turned my head. A few seconds later I turned my head back and she disappeared.

I panick and start dashing around the garden calling her name around the fountains and past the statues. For someone with fractured ribs she gets away fast... All of sudden I feel her arms around my neck and she tackles me from behind I slide her around and lift her up gently as I accidentally fall backwards. I look up at her as she's on top of me. I momentarily admire her lips.

"How did you manage to hide so fast?"
"I guess I'm pretty fast too" she joked lowering her voice as if to copy how I had said it earlier.
I couldn't help but laugh. She was so adorable. I gently let go of her waist before she'd lay beside me gazing at the stars, even after hours she smells amazing... I laid on my side secretly admiring her as we talked all night.

Now I understand why Silver wanted to buy Blaze that ring so bad. I guess when you love someone you'd do anything to make them smile...
