Rouge's P.O.V

I'm painting a certain pink hedgehog's nails and she seems so out of it. I know she seems more mature because she's forgotten Sonic. But this type of behaviour isn't normal she's frowning. She's dazing into space. She's not being herself.

Shadow's sitting in the corner of the room. I clear my throat to get my boyfriend's attention. He continues to flick through the channels on the television, not acknowledging nor noticing me. I clear my throat, louder.

The black hedgehog's ears finally perk up before bringing his attention to me. His ruby eyes ponder in confusion before I use my eyes to point at the pink hedgehog.

He gets up from his position to sit closer to her, "Rose?"
Instantly, her jade eyes seem to come back to reality- you can tell she's stopped thinking about whatever she was thinking about- for now.
"Yes?" She asks, as I finish painting her last nail on her hand.
"You okay?" He asks softly, I think Amy reminds Shadow of Maria which is probably why he got so annoyed at sonic for the way he treated her.
She nods and shadow shoots her a look as if to say to cut the act. In response to this she sighs, "I feel like... Something's missing- I'm not Amy Rose anymore..."
"What?" I ask in confusion.
"I just- in forgetting Sonic I feel like I've forgotten a lot about myself- I feel like... I've let myself down... No one has told me much either, maybe it's because I don't ask..."
Me and Shadow look at each other, I don't want her to go back to how things were before, she was so upset from the date that Sonic missed, she affected her health from chasing him and now...
"Pinky- it's a blessing there's a reason for everything... You believe in destiny right? I mean of course you do you used to rely on tarot cards a lot... Don't focus on what you lost, focus on what you've gained..."

She still stays quiet her face filled with sadness I sigh before my face lights up with an idea Shadow's face panics as I wiggle my eyebrows signifying I have an idea instantly he lifts his hands shaking them frantically.

"You know- Shadow has loved a certain artist recently..."
"Hm? Who?" She asked curiously looking over at the hedgehog who now was folding his arms before accepting defeat before admitting.
"Sabrina Carpenter..."
She gasps that seemed to bring her back to life, "What? Really? I didn't know that was your thing..."
I laugh at her reaction he's looking at me now to check it's okay and without hesitation I nod. I know she'll enjoy it more than me anyway.
"Care to join me Rose? It'll be fun"
She squeals excitedly I guess we have our answer and I can't help but smile.
