Day 77- A sign

Silver's P.O.V

It's morning. Finally morning. I'm staring at the ring box in my hands. It's like it's taunting me. I couldn't propose a few days ago because of the storm I thought April was supposed to be warmer... Maybe it's the universe telling me that me and Blaze aren't meant to be together. Like a sign. Just like that my stomach sinks I hug my knees and my thoughts begin circling in anxiousness. Maybe this bed could just swallow me up.

Blaze is so amazing. She's smart. She's strong. She's beautiful and I feel at peace with her everything feels balanced. But sometimes I can't help but think I'm not good enough for her... The only one I want to talk to about this most is Blaze but I can't... I look at the ring once more and remember how Amy and Sonic helped me buy things to set up for the proposal. Sonic's always been nice, but personally, I think I've always been closer with Amy. Even when we met, she was so willing to help me shes like a sister to me. Well, before knowing I was aiming to kill sonic. But she's always been friendly.

Slowly, I take my phone out my pocket before beginning to message Amy and Sonic if they could meet up and help me.

Gee, I'm nervous. Amy's helping set things up because, well, she's one of Blaze's best friends and found out I was going to propose while I was looking for a ring. Not to mention the amount of money she gave me for the ring. I wonder what it was for. But anyway, I owe her... Sonic's helping also because he found out the same way and we're friends- ish.

I'm sweating... A lot... The table is filled with sushi and I also have a bunch of snacks because I know Blaze is not really allowed to eat them in the palace, she doesn't really have much time to eat them either.

*play music*

I tug at my collar nervously, and Amy shakes her head, looking up after lightly one of the last candles. She comes up to me adjusting my collar and fixing my tie, "Silvy you need to relax, Blaze will love it" she reassured offering a smile.
"What if something goes wrong?"
"Not possible, everything will be fine..."
"But-"
"Silvy... Do you love Blaze?"
"Yes but-"
"And she loves you at the end of the day that's all that matters..."

"But what if its a sign?"

"A sign?" sonic wondered.
"Yes a sign- that. You know me and Blaze wouldnt be do fabulous together...
"If you keep stressing silvy you won't get to have your happily ever after with Blaze... I say go for it besides if you want something you've got to go after it"

Sonic's P.O.V

He's looking at Amy unconvinced. She's so sweet the way she tries to calm him down

I sigh, "what do you love about her?"
"Gosh, where do I start? I don't even think I could change anything about her- she's perfect..."
"Perfect, huh?..." I questioned.
"I guess when you're in love you love even the person's flaws..." Amy smiled, "And Blaze feels the same she loves you and that's what that ring is all about."

Silver would just smile at Ames. She sure knows how to cheer anybody and everyone up. Before this all I could have had that as a girlfriend... Why am I even thinking that. But I- I obviously saw her as a friend only. That's why I got so nervous at the idea of going with her on a date... But if that's true. Why do I understand why Silver is so nervous?...

Silvers P.O.V

"Silver?" That voice. BLAZE! Quickly I push Amy and Sonic into the bushes and they go tumbling in.

One breath. Two breaths. Here she comes...

Blaze's P.O.V

It's so beautiful... I can't help but gasp. There's a path of lit candles and the stars have come out. Silver always seemed to know I love the night more than day, it's so peaceful. So perfect.
"Blaze, I love you so much... I always have and always will... I believe it's a sign we met and I..." before I know it he's on one knee and as the perfect question slips out his mouth I jump towards him happily shouting, "yes!" Before embracing him with a tight hug.

Sonic's P.O.V

Gosh. Silver. I swear I get he's nervous but did he have to push us? I open my eyes and I'm on top of Amy. I swear this seems to be happening a lot... My face is burning looking down into her jade eyes she just smiles softly, my heart is melting... She gently pulls herself up by holding my arms before excitedly perking her head above the bushes slightly to peek at the couple like an excited puppy. Adorable.

She's watching them so happily you'd think she was the one getting proposed to. Her eyes are sparkling as bright as the stars and ger smile is so wide. She always seems to be focused on other people's feelings.

Perfect. That's the way Silver describes Blaze. That's the word I'd use for Amy. But not in the way she has no flaws. In the way there's nothing I would have changed about her. Before. Now. She's perfect.

Whatever these feelings are, even if not love. They don't seem to be going away I think that's a pretty big sign...
