"Alyssa, let's go" Bobby yells calling me from the living room
"Do I have to do this" I ask Athen and my dad coming into the living room
"Yes, I'm sorry" Bobby says
"Hey If you have any problems or the sends you into a panic attack. Your dad will be there so will Eddie and everyone else" Athena says and I nod
today I have to go into a arbitration hearing with my dad, Eddie, Hen and Chimney. Buck is suing the city to get his job back. I just hope this goes well, a lot of us are not happy about this. Buck never thinks before he does stuff he just does it. I got into my dad's car with my dad and he drives to the place we're supposed to go to.
"I really don't want to do this" I say
"I know you don't but everything will be ok. Will be with you if something goes wrong. If you feel like you're gonna have a panic attack or break down just leave the room" my dad says and I nod. We grab are stuff and head inside to meet the rest of the team.
"Hey" I say trying not to let my nerves get the best of me
"Hey you ok" Eddie asks me and I nod. But he doesn't believe me so he looks at my dad
"She's nervous that this is going to send her into a panic attack or a breakdown. I told her that will be right out here if she needs us" my dad says and they nod
"It will i'll be ok, I'll be right out here if you need us we're here" Hen says and I nod
"Thanks, i've been through one of these before and it wasn't easy" I say and they nod. We wait for a little bit until they start calling us in on my one. First they started with my dad, then they moved to chimney, then Hen, then Eddie and then me! Thankfully I was last! They call my name and I head inside.
"This is not a trial and I am not a judge. This arbitration will address Mr. Buckley's claim against us and your fire department for wrongful termination" they guys says and I nod. I start zoning out and like here's some thing that catches my attention right away
"My father treats every fire fighter under his watch equally" I say
"What about you? Your his daughter he must treat you differently" Chase Mackey says who is helping buck sue the city. Something about Chase annoys me.
"Sometimes he does, it more for protection since I'm all he has left but majority of the time he treats me like everyone else at work" I say and he nods
"Can you explain what he does to Sometimes treat you different then everyone else" Chase asks
"Since I'm his daughter, I'm all he has left by blood. It's more like protecting me from severe calls that's are dangerous. Sometimes we act like family at the house" I say and he nods
"So did he treated you differently when you were injured twice" Chase asks and I nod no
"Not really, he was concerned like he is for ever member who gets injured" I say
"So you were injured in the explosion and the tsunami" chase asks me
"Yes I was out for a couple of months with the explosion but was able to return but then the tsunami happened and I got caught in that. So I was out another month for focus on myself. I wasn't in a good place" I say hoping he doesn't asks why
"Why is that, what was bothering you" he asks F*ck!!
"I umm" I say trying not to say why
"Is it because of you kidnapped when you were younger" he ask and I don't say anything
