["Hey. I know it's been a long time since we've seen each other. I hope you're doing okay. I'm sorry that things ended the way that they did, and I hope you're not upset, but I understand if you are. I recently saw your Instagram... And I saw that you have a baby now. Wow. Things really change quickly. Anyway, sorry if this message was random, I just got curious and wanted to see how things are going."] - Jeongin.
~3 days later.~
["Well, if it isnt the bast*rd that left the country and changed all his contact info after he found out I was pregnant."] - Olivia.
Jeongin gulped as he read the reply. He had hoped that all of this anxiety was for nothing, but it was beginning to seem more and more like his life was spiraling out of control, and his fears were coming true.
["Listen, I am so sorry. I didn't know. I didn't just "leave the country," and I never knew that you were pregnant. I swear to God."] - Jeongin.
["As if Id believe you now."] - Olivia.
["Okay, maybe you don't believe me, but I can explain. I swear I'm telling the truth. I had to leave Canada. I didn't really have a choice, and I didn't have my phone, so if you tried to contact me, I didn't know. I'm so sorry."] - Jeongin
["You think an apology after YEARS is going to make it better? The damage is done."] - Olivia.
["Okay, I'm assuming that the baby is mine, right?"] - Jeongin.
["Obviously you idiot."] - Olivia.
["Just making sure."] - Jeongin.
["Don't contact me again."] - Olivia.
["WAIT! Please, I'm coming to Canada in a couple weeks. I will come and see you. I just want to talk. I swear, I can explain what happened."] - Jeongin.
He waited and waited, but there was no response.
Finally, he went back to check her profile again, but he couldn't find her name.
"She blocked me?!" He said to himself in disbelief.
He shot up, pacing back and forth in his apartment.
At first, he was angry. How could she just block him like that? Did she really not even care to hear him out? Does she not want the kid to even know that he has a father out there somewhere who didn't actually mean to just abandon him?
But as he thought more and more, he couldn't help but sympathize. He would probably feel just as resentful and angry toward someone who just up and left the way he did. From her perspective, it made sense.
