The Book of Nariko Hayashi | Naruto OC

Road to Ninja

I made this chapter out of boredom, but this is just where I imagine my characters would fall in the Road to Ninja movie.

Nariko was hiding behind a bush, keeping quiet as usual. She stared at the scene in front of her when she pushed a few leaves down.

There they were: The Akatsuki. Why were they present in the situation? Nariko didn't know, and she didn't want to know. All she wanted to do was be at home and stay in bed, or really anything else but what she was doing now.

Oh, right. Aiko was beside her, clamping a hand over her mouth to keep in her gasp. Even she was surprised at seeing the Akatsuki. After all, they were all supposed to be dead. The fact that they were all there was shocking to see, especially for ninja like them.

With an earpiece in her right ear, Nariko listened to the others who were on her side. "..."

"The report was accurate," Kakashi's voice spoke through the earpiece. "There's no mistake. It's the Akatsuki."

"What's going on?" Sakura whispered through her earpiece as well. "We've even defeated some of them."

"Worry about that later," Shikamaru said. "Right now, we have eight of them to take down. They're all hard to deal with. I made sure to memorize their stats, but even then..."

Oh, riiiight... Kurai? You're wondering where he is? Well, he said he was on his way to the scene, but never arrived yet. If he were there, he'd be the first to jump into action... or at least that was what Nariko thought.

"RASENGAN!"

Nariko's eyes widened before she threw her earpiece off. His voice was so loud... so irritating. It felt like her ears were going to bleed after hearing that.

Aiko looked out into the clearing and pointed out, "Hey, there's an explosion!"

"I won't run or hide, believe it!" Naruto announced. "Come and get me, punks!" It was very stupid of him to get into battle automatically with no instructions. "And... my name is..."

He was interrupted by one member of the evil organization, who smacked him so hard the blond fell to the ground. However, he got back up and began to make his next move like the idiot he was. "...Naruto Uzumaki! I'm a ninja!"

Sakura watched the scene from on top of a tree branch. The pink haired girl facepalmed. "What is he doing?! Ninja are supposed to endure!"

"Well, at least he's being a great decoy this way," Kakashi spoke before speaking into his earpiece. "Shikamaru!"

Team 10 jumped down from the tree they were on for keeping watch. Shikamaru replied. "We'll be at a disadvantage in a group battle. We should split them up and repel them individually. So..."

Naruto was pulled out of his fight with the Akatsuki by Choji's expanded -and enormous- hand. Not only that, but Shino's bugs were swarmed around the area.

"Geez! Do I always have to look after you?" Choji scolded at the hyperactive blond.

Ino placed her hands on her hips and leaned forward to Naruto, scolding him. "You really don't think, do you?"

"What did you say?!" Naruto yelled, clearly not impressed with the scolding from the members of Team 10. At least he was the decoy... right? At least he added some spice in the moment.

"Could do with a little more, but let's get it started!" Choji announced before activating his Expansion Jutsu, rolling through the Akatsuki members.

The blonde looked at the other, her hands still on her hips. "You get back to your post."
