"The red one. For sure," Lonnie said as we sifted through my closet. "It's Christmas, for crying out loud. Plus, studies have shown that men can't resist a lady in red," he added with a wink.

"He's right. I can see it now," Alice smirked, sifting through my jewelry box. "His jaw is going to hit the floor."

I smiled, holding up the red dress. Lonnie, Alice, and Rosalie were helping me get ready for the Christmas gathering at the Cullens, and I wanted to surprise Edward by wearing a dress. It was either the dress or an ugly Christmas sweater. While I would've felt more comfortable wearing the silly sweater, I did want to look good for Edward, so I chose to follow my friends' advice.

"You're going to look H O double T, HOTT," Lonnie grinned from ear to ear as he sat at the foot of my bed. "Now, I just need to figure out what I'm going to wear for my date tomorrow. Brice finally asked me out, and on Christmas. Merry Christmas to me. Guess me hanging out with that No-maj guy finally got under his skin..."

I laughed, walking towards the jewelry box where Alice was trying to decide on my accessories. "You mean he was jealous of Corbin?"

"Insanely," Lonnie smirked. "Sometimes a little jealousy goes a long way.

Alice and I both chuckled at that. Rosalie rolled her eyes, but a small grin spread across her face all the same.

"This. You have to wear this," Alice demanded, holding the charm bracelet that Cedric had gifted me last Christmas.

My heart clenched as I took the bracelet from her, caressing the charms that dangled on the gold chain.

"...I was already planning on it," I said with a soft smile, locking eyes with Alice.

Her golden eyes gleamed with excitement, a knowing look playing on her features.

"Okay, Elle. How are you going to do your makeup? Bold or natural? And what about your hair? Up or down?" She started spewing out questions, opening her large bag of 'supplies'.

As she was mid-search, I noticed Rosalie's gaze drift towards the photo on my nightstand— the picture that was taken of me and Cedric on the beach. A gasp flew through her lips, her eyes growing as she stared at the image.

"Wow..." Rosalie breathed, slowly shaking her head. "That is so.. strange."

Lonnie and Alice paused amid their search, glancing at the picture.

"Right?" I agreed with Rosalie, breathing out a laugh that was void of humor. "Very strange..."

Edward's uncanny resemblance to Cedric wasn't something that was so easily forgotten, but over the past few months, it wasn't the similarities I noticed— But the differences. Edward gazes at me in a way Cedric never did, his eyes of embers always burning with a look of pure adoration. The raw love he felt for me was blinding. So, too, was my love for him.
