"There it is"

I took in deep breaths and tired to control my breathing. I looked at Roman, the devilishly handsome sixteen year old with piercing blue eyes, and raven black hair. He's cute. I'll admit it. Just not to him, or to anyone for that matter.

Stop staring Scarlet, he's gonna notice.

I quickly averted my gaze to Sam, who crouched down behind the grey demolished car as well. She glanced at the direction I was pointing towards and sighed.

"It's filled with walkers. You guys are suicidal if you try and attempt to make it to the sewer in the middle of that street." Roman said, looking at me with a slightly alarmed look.

I chuckled.

This is nothing.

I looked for Raiden, and waited for him to make it around the corner of a car without alarming the herd of zombies ahead of us. I smiled as he safely jogged to the building, where we planned to plant the singing bear.

I watched Raiden turn the Bear's switch on, and throw it before he raced back towards us. As soon as Raiden threw the bear, it blared out music. Nothing cool or hip, more like elevator music, but I know one thing for sure.

It was loud.

And soon there was a gigantic herd of zombies around it, all attracted to the sound. While the zombies were occupied, Sam, Raiden, and I took off running towards the sewer. As we ran, I noticed Roman behind us, and at first I was confused as to why he's sticking with us. Yet, as soon as the question came, I knew the answer.

It's a lonely world, these days.

I also noticed some stray zombies, ones that paid no mind to the sound and instead to the running figures of human bodies. I immediately grabbed one of my throwing knives and threw one at one of the zombies.

The knife landed in its shoulder, and I frowned.

Not quite what I was aiming for.

Roman took his machete and finished the zombie off for me. I quickly ran to the other zombie, seeing as I couldn't throw for some odd reason.

I approached the dead rotting corpse and backed away when it launched itself at me. I quickly regained my balance and stuck my knife in the middle of his forehead.

Once it's body went down with a satisfying drop, I pulled my knife out of its head, and checked back on my other two friends.

I was happy to see that Sam and Radien had finished lifting the sewer cap. Sam checked it first with her flash light before showing me a thumbs up.

I felt Roman walk up beside me, and he handed me my knife that I had left inside that other corpse's shoulder.

"Thanks" I told him.

I awkwardly took my knife from him and jogged back to Sam and Raiden.

"Raiden you first"

"No can do. I have a code. Ladies first" Raiden said, glancing into the sewer with a hesitant look.

I watched as Samantha glared at him.
