It was now the sixteenth of November. First day of school.
I glared at my reflection and grumbled angry words under my breath. I was wearing my hair down for the day, deciding to look at least decent for the first day of school. My brown curls outlined my face, and my bangs stood in front of my left eye, I pushed my bangs out of the way slightly. I was wearing a black leather jacket Moses had found for me, and a white shirt. Even though it was extremely hot outside, I adored biker jackets, so I couldn't not wear it. My dark blue jeans had an ugly stain on the right pocket but I used my jacket to cover it. I held on tightly to my black back pack, that only had a notebook, and a few pencils in it. I held it on my right shoulder not bothering to hold it with my left as well.
I sighed, knowing that I should head downstairs.
It was 7:40 in the morning, giving me enough time to eat something for breakfast. I quickly grabbed my black vans I had Moses grab for me from the mall raid he did a few days ago, and raced down stairs, almost slipping on my butt because of my white socks.
I found everyone at the table already, everyone except Adriel of course, he was too young for school.
I sat down at the kitchen's island bar and accepted the bagel with cream cheese my mom had given me.
Sam was sitting beside me eating her bagel as well.
I munched on mine and soon enough the clock above the fridge turned to 8 in the morning. Great.
I finished my last bite and chugged the rest of my morning shake my mom made. Before hopping off the stool and putting my shoes on.
Nya and Alize, held on to their my little pony back packs, both grinning ear to ear, excited for school. I inwardly grimaced, who in their right mind likes school??
Both of them were ready to go, and they talked idly to each other. Alex and Samuel who were both only four, we're going to school as well. They both turn five in the up coming months so they were forced to go to apocalypse school as well.
I snorted at the name I came up with.
Apocalypse school high. I wonder what the mascot will be. A zombie maybe?
I cracked a smile at my inside joke before putting my left arm through the backpacks slot and letting it rest on my back.
I walked up to the front door, where the kids were huddling around it and opened it. Sam finished putting her white and black converse on, before joining us outside.
"Bye! Have a good day at school!" My mom yelled.
I waved back, still not happy about having to go to school during the apocalypse.

It wasn't long until we reached the school. Okay that's a lie it was long. It took us almost forty minuets on foot. But then again, we got lost a couple of times.
After Sam and I dropped the kids off at the correct school, which was an elementary school. Again military base.
We walked to the Highschool which was only down the street.
We entered through the school's front doors before walking into the office.
I would imagine they kept the same schedule of things, meaning we had different block periods, and different classes.
