When I made it to HQ I raced inside through the doors. I went up to the first person I saw. Thankfully I recognized him as Rick.

"Where is he?" I questioned.

My mom had been gone two hours longer then she should have been. She went to talk to Hanson, the man who loves to kill people. The man who ordered non useful people to death.

Rick looked down at me, noticing my panicked state.

"Nobody knows where Nico disappeared to Scarlet. We thought he was with you." Rick answered.

I furrowed my eyebrows. Nico?

"What are you talking about? The last time I ever saw Nico was yesterday." I rushed out, I didn't want to talk about Nico. I wanted my mother.

Rick furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. His skin was tanned from working in the sun for so long. Rick was the one who was usually on wall duty. Meaning he guarded the main entrance half of the time.

"Nico never came home yesterday, he's gone. Hanson is talking to your mother about it I'm sure, but I'm surprised he didn't just ask for you." Rick said, seeming utterly confused.

I didn't pay attention to his words, all I could think about was the boy who kissed me yesterday. My best friend for the past month. He's gone?

He couldn't just vanished.

I began to get worried, what if something happened to him? Or worse what if he got...I gulped at the thought.

"Where are they?" I said blinking back tears.

I couldn't believe Nico would just leave. He literally kissed me and didn't even say goodbye. I felt stupid for believing that he actually cared for me.

"They went for a walk out by sector one." He said.

With that I sprinted out of the office and down the road to Weapon and Food. I had a feeling Hanson didn't just want to talk to my mom, and I knew something was off.

It couldn't have been ten minuets before I made it to Weapon and Food. I spotted our car and noticed Sam and Moses were carrying four full duffel bags into the car.

Moses caught sight of me first.

"Scarlet? What's wrong?" He asked.

I took a second to catch my breath before I licked my lips to answer him.

"Moms with Hanson." I told him.

Moses looked at me with wide eyes before tossing the duffel bag into the trunk of Laury's car. Samantha placed her bags in as well but more gently.

"Hurry get in the car." Moses ordered.

I didn't hesitate and jumped inside the passenger seat. Samantha hopped inside the back. I was greeted by the kids as well, who were strapped in the backseats too.
