"Mamma, I hungry."

"Mamma, I want food!"

"Mamma-"

I groaned with annoyance, as Alex, Nya, and Alize all shouted how hungry they were. Adriel wasn't helping either, seeing as the kid was crying as loud as he could cry, which is really loud. As Adriel's cries grew louder my mom's frustration grew stronger and I couldn't help but get frustrated with her. My mom's white skin glowed with the sun shining on it, her face started to turn red with anger as Adriel kicked his crying up a few notch and the kids yelled they were hungry even louder than before.

"Enough!" I yelled at the four kids.

Adriel was still crying hysterically, but the three kids shut their mouths and didn't peep a sound.

"We will stop for food as soon as possible, but please..." I said messaging my temple.

I felt a headache coming soon, and I'm dreading for it to come.

"Shut up" I told the kids.

God I'm really starting to regret not bringing my car charger. Ever since the movie finished on my tablet the iPad died, and now the kids are complaining from hunger. I'm hungry too, but I know, now is not the time to be eating, anything for that matter.

"Scarlet, I think I have a bag of chips in the trunk, why don't you reach for it" My mom told me, as Adriel's screams filled the air.

I nodded and unbuckled my seatbelt. Twisting around in the car, I reached back into the trunk, and found the chips, my mom was talking about. It was a bag of Doritos, Nacho Cheese to be exact. My stomach growled at the sight of food and thankfully it was a family size bag, enough to last us a couple of hours, hopefully.

Turning around, I showed the chips to Adriel who stopped crying almost immediately, pretty much as soon as he saw the chips. The poor kid was so hungry he licked his lips and snatched the bag out of my grasp, to my surprise. I smiled, and snatched the chips back, which once again made the kid cry loud, and I mean really really loud.

"Adriel! Relax I'm going to give you some!" I shouted.

The baby tried reaching for the bag, and when I moved it away so he couldn't grab it, he whined then punched me on my arm. I narrowed my eyes at the 2 year old. He is so lucky I am holding this bag.

When he figured he wasn't going to get the bag, he once more started to cry. Much to my distain. I groaned and sat back down in the passenger seat. Looking inside my bag, I looked for anything that could serve as a bowl or a holder for the chips.

To my surprise, I found three empty ziplock bags. Smiling, I grabbed as much chips as I could and stuffed it inside the bag. Then I handed the bag to the wailing banshee, also known as Adriel. Immediately he closed his mouth and sniffled. As if it wasn't adorable enough, he wiped his eyes, and smiled at me.

It was one of those 'aw' moments in movies that made you want to melt. I continued handing out the bags to the kids, until they were all filled up. The kids were quietly munching on their chips, and it wasn't until I looked back at the road that I felt my throat tighten.

It was a zombie walking around aimlessly for a victim to tear it's teeth into. I felt tears start to build up in my eyes, as I recognized the monster.

Her name was Jessie. She was also my best friend. I met her in sixth grade, and we instantly clicked, like two magnets. I teared my view from the road and looked ahead. I couldn't stand seeing her as one of those monsters, that like to hurt and kill people for their hunger that never ends.

Before my mom could notice, I wiped the tears and once again drowned myself with music.
