I jumped onto Hanson's back and drove my knife into his neck. I ignored my burning shoulder that ached with every move, before hopping off of Hanson. The knife in his neck, I knew it was deeply in there too, stayed in place causing blood to rush out.
Hanson grabbed his neck painfully with his left hand, but still managed to turn around and glare at me.
I saw him reaching for his gun long before he did.
I quickly tackled him, which threw him off guard, then I got on top of him and punched him repeatedly, wanting him dead more then I have ever wanted anything in my life.
I punched him with my right hand, as hard as I could. He grunted and his face soon colored after. I hit him again, and again, and again. Until my fist couldn't take the pain anymore.
He was bleeding to death rapidly, so I got off of him and took his hand gun.
Suddenly I remembered when he stood over my mother, and shot her. The loud bang echoed in my mind, and the scene of her bloodied body haunted it.
Hanson looked at me with fear in his eyes. He looked at the gun then back at me. I knew he feared death. I wanted to smirk at this but found that I couldn't, I was too angry with him.
So instead I switched safety off and placed my index finger on the trigger.
"This is for my mother you bastard." Then I pulled the trigger.
After the loud bang went off, I ripped my knife from him and cleaned it on his shirt. Then I placed it back in its holder on my left ankle.
I quickly went back to the side of the door, knowing that soldiers will come in to check if Hanson was okay.
My assumptions were correct and two men came inside with rifles. I didn't bother fighting them and just snuck out behind them. I quickly ran through the hallways, knowing my way around from being friends with Nico.
"Roy says to start your shift by the entrance tomorrow."
I stopped at the edge of a turn when I heard two people chattering. I didn't pay any attention to what they were saying because I was too busy looking for a place to hide. I looked around wildly, knowing that the soldiers were nearing with each step.
Luckily I spotted a door. I quickly opened it, my hand gun out, and quietly closed it behind me.
It was only a storage closet, so nobody was inside. I looked around and couldn't believe my eyes. My duffel bag was laying beside a mop. I quickly grabbed it, noticing a note on top of it too.
Scarlet, I'm sorry I had to turn you in like that. Jenna was being held captive by that crazy dude so I had no choice. I knew where he had kept you so I placed your knives in the room for you. Yeah that was me. If you are reading this then that means you escaped. Your duffel has everything in it, guns, ammo, silencers, and food. Again I'm sorry and I hope we can make amends one day.
-Raiden.
I put the note down and crumpled it in my hand. So it was Raiden all along. I sighed, not wanting to think about forgiving him.
