"I got to go potty!" Alex wept, holding his private part and bouncing up and down. Nya nodded, crossing her legs, while taking a seat.

I looked at my mom, wondering what we were going to do. I once again grabbed my honey badger, especially when I saw Alex reaching for it.

I could guide them to the motel room?

I turned to my mom.

"I found a bedroom that was open, we could take them there" I whispered over to her.

My mom seemed to think about. She looked upset about having to get out of the car, but she nodded her head yes anyways.

I looked at the kids, who were all smiling from glee about being able to get out of the car. My mom stepped back, giving us space to get out. I let Alize get out first, then I had Nya follow after her. My mom took a hold of both of their hands. I grabbed Alex's hand and took Adriel into my arms.

Quietly, We began to make our way back to where the dead army man laid, which reminded me...

Once we reached the open door, I turned to the kids and blocked their view from the room.

"Close your eyes" I told them.

I handed Adriel over to my mom, who took him with no complaint. My mom covered Adriel's eyes, much to his distain.

The kids don't need to see another dead body.

I made sure all the kids eyes were closed, and then I entered the room with the dead army man inside.

I crinkled my nose in disgust at the rotten stench of the dead body.

Nervously, I grabbed a hold of his arms, and started to drag him outside the room. Once I made it to the railing I dumped his body over, and saluted a fare well.

I've always had a fond of respect for the military, knowing they risked their lives everyday to go fight in a war, just to be able to keep this country running, is so respectable. So seeing the man go over the railing like a piece of trash, it made me feel guilty. Really, really, guilty.

I turned back to my mom who looked at me with sympathy. I could tell she felt guilty that I had to go through this. Seeing a dead man, isn't something a fourteen year old should see.

I gave her a small smile, even though I am scarred for the rest of my life, my mom shouldn't have to worry about it.

"Kids you can open your eyes now" I told them.

All the kids looked up at me, and entered the room, my mom and I were right behind them, with my honey badger in hand. Before anyone entered the bathroom, I went in to make sure it was safe. Thankfully, it was.

"Okay, let's let the baby go first, he has the weakest bladder" I told the kids.

Nya and Alex groaned at this note. My mom chuckled at their groans and closed the door, locking it in the process.

"Can we stay the night here?" Alize asked my mom.

My mom placed her lips into a thin line and shook her head.

"No" She said.

"It's not safe" .

I turned back to Adriel, who was trying to wash his hands. Seeing that he was too short, I picked him up and helped him.

Alex was next to use the bathroom, sighing in relief once he got inside.

Nya looked up at my mom.

"Where's my mom?" Nya asked quietly.

My mom smiled sadly, not knowing how to respond to her question.

Yashira is Nya's mom, but last time we spoke with Yashira was about two days ago, hours before we found Laury eating her husband.

"Yeah, where is my mom too!?" Alize asked, making the situation even worse.

"I want my mom!" Alize yelled.

"Yeah" Nya joined.

"I want my mommy!" Nya yelled.

I could tell my mom felt pressured, which angered me because, Alize needs to learn respect. Again my mom didn't know how to respond, so I spoke up.

"We don't know Alize, don't you think if we knew we'd already have met up with them!?" I snapped.

My mom looked at me, giving me a look telling me to 'shut up'.

"Calm down Scarlet." My mom told me, firmly.

I shook my head.

"Yashira, and Marie are either dead, or alive. We don't know which one, so stop being so annoying, and start acting smart, we aren't living in the world we used to." I told them, giving Alize and Nya an angry glare.

I know I'm being mean, but Alize and Nya need to learn when to be quiet. Right now, it's one of those times.

So what if they're only seven and six. They need to learn now, what is happening. Because nobody has time to sit them down and talk them through it.

Alex came out of the bathroom, Nya quickly hurried in, and I didn't miss the hurt look she gave me.

Once everyone finished using the bathrooms, my mom and I began to scavenge around for food or anything useful, preferably another weapon.

My mom found five water bottles in the mini fridge, while I found two cans of sliced pineapples. It was enough to keep us going for a couple of days, which isn't too bad.

"Let's go, it's getting dark" My mom commented.

I watched as she grabbed the pillow and blanket off the bed.

"No mom, don't take those" I said, looking at the sheets in disgust.

"Why?" My mom asked, confused at the looks I was giving off.

"Trust me, you don't want those" I told her.

My mom looked at me weirdly before placing the sheets and pillow back on the bed. She grabbed a hold of the five water bottles, and the baby's hand.

"Nya hold Alex's hand, Alize stay beside Scarlet" My mom instructed.

Thankfully Alize and Nya listened.

I grabbed the two cans of fruit, and opened the door. My mom walked out of the room with Nya and Alex following behind her.

Alize and I walked out next, following their footsteps.

Day two, and we didn't get killed...

Thank god for that.
