I placed my fingers on my lips to a trembling Alex, I looked to my right at my mom.
"Mom, what do we do?" I whisper, I was trembling inside and out from the fear.
I watched horrified by my sister as she ate her husband.
"Go, get the girls and put them into the car" My mom ordered.
At first I didn't go, but then I ran to the room and woke up the girls.
"Girls, wake up" I told them shaking their shoulders.
Nya was the first to wake up while Alize slapped my arms away.
"Hm" Nya hummed.
"Get up and get dressed" I told her urgently.
I tried waking Alize up, and when she finally got up. I helped her and Nya get dressed.
"Cmon" I said grabbing their hands and dragging them outside to the car.
When I opened the front door the cold air hit me like a bullet. I shivered instantly but kept moving.
"Why are we leaving?" Alize mumbled, yawning in the process.
I didn't know how to answer her, I didn't want to tell a 7 and 6 year old that their Aunt was eating Their Uncle.
"It's an emergency" I told them
I opened the car door, and placed the girls in their car seats. I quickly buckled them up and closed their doors.
"I'll be right back" I told them
Closing Nya's door I ran back to the house and quietly open the door.
When I reached Laury's room, I looked inside to see Laury and the kids gone, as well as my mom. I held my breath and walked to Kyle,
His pale brown eyes were wide open, his once pink lips were a dull pale pink. I looked at his stomach and almost barfed. All of his intestines were out of his body, everything was out of place. I didn't like the man, but that didn't mean I didn't feel sympathy for him.
I couldn't believe my sister would do something like this, I cleared my head and placed a black sheet over Kyle's dead body. I then got up and ran to my room. Letting out a breath, I breathed in and out. I looked around my room and looked for something I could use as a weapon.
I grabbed a stick, And walked out of the room in a swinging position.
"Mom" I choked out
I opened my moms door, my mom was standing over Laury's body, with a baseball bat in hand. It didn't take a genius to know what happened. Both Alex and Adriel were crying furiously practically screaming.
"Is Nya and Alize ok?" She asked me
I swallowed but nodded a yes, not being able to trust my voice.
"Take the boys to the car" She told me
Doing as I was told I grabbed the crying 4, and 2 year old, and took them to the car.
When I reached the outside, I looked to the car to see a man trying to get inside the car. My heart started to race, suddenly fearing the safety of the girls. He wasn't acting normal, he was banging on the car window and placing his mouth on it, as if he could eat it. Nya and Alize were screaming historically, I suddenly felt guilty for leaving them alone.
I bent down to Alex's level.
"Hey, hey, hey, stop crying, ok, stop crying" I wiped his tear away
"I need you to be strong...take your brother inside and stay there until I come and get you, okay?" I told him.
He nodded his head.
I pulled my nephew into a hug and told him to go. Once they were inside the house I grabbed the stick I was holding and slowly made my way to the man.
"Hey! Leave them alone!" I yelled.
The man turned around, and I screamed. His face had blood all over the mouth area, and his skin seemed to be rotting.
The man screamed at me and started running towards me, wasting no time I closed my eyes and swung my thick stick hitting the man in the face and knocking him down.
I hit the man hard on the head over and over again until I felt it was safe enough to stop.
By the time I recognized what I did, I quickly dropped the stick and started freaking out.
"Is he dead" I asked myself.
"Oh god he's dead" I mumbled.
"Scarlet! What are you doing" My mom shouted.
I turned around and watched as my mom ran down the drive way with Alex holding her hand and Adriel on her hip.
"I-I don't know" .
