Ep. 21: Adventures In Chaositting PT. 2 (Sonic Crossover)

*Mettaton prepared snacks for Chonic as well as something for Uniqua since it would still be another hour or two until Sonic came back. By the time he got back to his room, Uniqua was reading some of her favorite poems from a book she'd had since she was little. She incorporated her voice acting skills to keep Chonic engaged. Mettaton placed the tray of food down on the nightstand before sitting near them, waiting for her to finish the current poem. Chonic seemed to enjoy poetry more after hearing them.*

Uniqua: I told you these were great poems, dude. I grew up on these. If you ever wanna check out more poetry from other poets, you can ask Sonic to help pick out good ones.

Mettaton: And you said you wouldn't be motherly.

Uniqua: It's called encouraging education. Too many peeps are being failed by the system and too many parents discourage reading. I'm only showing him one of the best ways to learn and starting him off early. It's his choice to continue learning now and he should give it a shot.

Mettaton: I still think it was cute. Besides, I've never heard you use such high-pitched voices.

Uniqua: I'm an older sister. Sometimes, I'd let Hothead join me when playing with my ponies. I've even told him bedtime stories and we used to race toy cars together. I have gotten good at doing plenty of voices and impersonations. I can even perfectly mimick you.

Mettaton: Wait, you can?

Uniqua: Yep, it's just the voice I use for Rarity but, deeper. Unfortunately, I can no longer do Rarity because it always defaults to you now.

Mettaton: I may need to call you in for voice acting gigs more. You have good range, darling.

Uniqua: Anyway, what time will Sonic get here?

Mettaton: He told me he'll be back to pick up Chonic at seven. We still have a little over an hour.

Uniqua: Dang, I feel like they could be holding him hostage now. You said it was a double-date, right? I wonder what Amy had planned for them tonight.

Mettaton: We might hear about it all another time, love. I doubt he'd want to share yet.

Uniqua: Yeah, dude. I'm gonna have to cancel tonight's D&D session then.

Mettaton: You had other plans? Why didn't you tell me?

Uniqua: My job is more important than D&D. Besides, looking after chao does require a lot of attention and responsibility.

*While Uniqua was talking, Chonic had wandered out of the room.*

Uniqua: Since they're similar to actual kids, you can't always leave them unattended. Why do you think we always make sure Bear has someone watching him?

Mettaton: Err, where's Chonic?

Uniqua: What are you talking about? He's right here!

*Uniqua gestured to the spot on the bed Chonic was originally sitting before turning towards it and panicking.*

Uniqua: H-He was right there. We gotta find him before Sonic gets here, man!

Mettaton: Okay, let's check every room. He couldn't have gone far.

Uniqua: Aight, let's hurry. This guy could be pretty fast. We have to catch him before someone else does.

*Both Uniqua and Mettaton start checking throughout the Blook residence for Chonic with help from Napstablook and Mew Mew. Eventually, Uniqua starts checking their backyard for any sign of the Chao. Unfortunately, a group of EggPawns saw her and attacked. Mew Mew, Napstablook, and Mettaton all rushed outside to help.*

Mettaton: Didn't we take care of the one that kidnapped Chonic?

Uniqua: We did. I think Eggturd figured out what happened and sent more to avenge the one I wrecked earlier.

Mew Mew: Seriously? Do they have the chao again?

Uniqua: From what I've seen, they don't have him. I didn't even see him out here.

Mettaton: Well, we have to get them off our property and find Chonic before they can get a hold of him.

*The four of them worked together to fight off the EggPawns. But their efforts weren't enough. More EggPawns just continued pouring in, swarming the group. However, they refused to back down. Soon enough, Chonic returned and joined them. He helped defend the Blook residence from the attack. Within no time at all, they had defeated the EggPawns and Eggman stopped sending more.*

Uniqua: Yo, did we just beat their metal flanks?

Mew Mew: I think we did.

Mettaton: All thanks to Chonic. Where did you ever go off to all by yourself?

*Chonic held up a half-eaten chili dog. He seemed to have gone to a local hot dog stand.*

Mettaton: Oh, you got yourself a snack!

Uniqua: That explains why he was MIA.

Mettaton: Let's all head back inside. Sonic should be getting here soon.

*The group went back in and Mettaton put Chonic down for a nap. He needed to rest after the battle. Not long after, Sonic had arrived to take Chonic home. Mew Mew let Sonic inside.*

Sonic: So, how was he?

Mettaton: Other than a couple hiccups, he was well-behaved.

Sonic: Then, why is Uni here? Wait, is it date night for you guys, too?

Mettaton: No, it's not.

Uniqua: Don't get the wrong idea, hedgehog. I know how to gather shipping ammo and I will use it against you.

Sonic: Sure, you do. Anyway, I'll just be taking Chonic back now. We'll see you guys another time!

Mettaton: You too, Sonic!

Uniqua: Later, bro.

*Sonic carried his chao and the bag of goodies he brought for him back to Mobious.*

Mettaton: I should look into getting a chao myself. They aren't that bad.

Uniqua: I'm not babysitting for you, dude.
