Ep. 11: Night of the Haunted Furby Pt. 1

*Uniqua, Mettaton, Hoth, and Pixelle were planning their costumes for Halloween. Mettaton had volunteered to host a party at MTT Resort and decided the theme would be similar to the previous Halloween party Uniqua had hosted last year.*

Pixelle: So, you two need to pick what you'll be this year. The theme is Dynamic Duos again, but who's idea was it to suggest more Pokémon cosplays?

Mettaton: That was all Uniqua. I'm up for Pokémon cosplays again but, I don't think I'd want to be another Pokémon this time.

Uniqua: C'mon, you killed it as Roserade last year, dude! I was gonna let you be Mimikyu but, I'm cool with whatever you choose.

Hoth: I think you should try being human characters. There's plenty to choose from. They don't have to be in a relationship exactly if you don't want people asking you guys for photos together.

Uniqua: Hoth, you're a genius! I can finally be ace and have a human cosplay! Let's go!

Mettaton: But I want to wear matching cosplays, darling. It's nearly been two years since our first date. We should at least consider it.

Uniqua: Why do you wanna match like that, though? I was kinda hoping you'd wait a few years before bringing it up?

Mettaton: Well, it's just that many of my fans who've seen the Pokémon anime have been comparing us to Jessie and James. Did you know they often get shipped together with Meowth as the third wheel?

Uniqua: Yeah, they all share one collective brain cell and practically do some top-tier cross-dressing every time they have to wear disguises. No wonder people ship Team Rocket.

Hoth: Yeah, Rocketshipping is one of the more popular ships. You guys would easily be swarmed if you wore cosplays.

Uniqua: And that's what I'm avoiding. They would want us to really get in character for their shipping amo and I'd rather not give all the Uniton shippers more amo, either.

Mettaton: Too late, I already ordered a blue wig.

Uniqua: If you want me to be Jessie, we gotta find a Meowth and get some plushies of their other Pokémon.

Mettaton: I can do that. But we'd have to ask around to see who's willing to be Meowth.

Uniqua: I swear if you threaten to withhold Burgerpants' paycheck to force him into that role, I'm just gonna show up as Mario to match my brother instead. I'm not playing.

Mettaton: You always do this.

Uniqua: I'm only looking out for my peers and helping out minimum wage workers like him. He deals with enough shtick from you on a daily basis. I really think you should stop or I'm just gonna tell him to quit. He don't deserve that kinda treatment.

Mettaton: Fine, I promise I won't go that far.

Uniqua: If you screw up, I'll smash your face in with my combat boots.

Hoth: Now that we have that figured out, I say we should discuss how authentic you want them to be.

Mettaton: Stylizing them in ways that people would still be able to tell it's us wouldn't be a bad idea. But we've done that with Roserade and Mimikyu already. We should try keeping them as close to canon as possible.

Uniqua: I don't have the guts to wear a crop top and mini skirt with thigh-highs. I'm not looking to be violated and that look is often considered "asking for it." Everything can be considered asking for it now and it's stupid.

Pixelle: I think it could be a nice change for you. It could serve you well.

Mettaton: She's right! You always cover yourself up even if you're no longer being abused. I think it's time to really let go of old habits.
