Ep. 6: Spamton's New Form [Spamton EX Arc PT. 1]

*Spamton, Mettaton, and Hoth all watched Uniqua and Digger compete against each other in a small fitness contest in the park. Pixelle was keeping track of how well they were doing.*

Pixelle: Great form, Digger! Keep it up! You may just trump Uniqua!

Digger: Yeah, as if she can even do one-handed push-ups.

Uniqua: Hey, I've been improving those recently. Don't call me out on how much I used to suck.

Pixelle: For Digger, it helps her stay in prime condition for her survival. For you, it's more about snatching in your waist.

Uniqua: Shut your trap before I grab a muzzle!

Digger: Careful what you say to her, Pixelle. That's really hurtful. Besides, Mettaton actually likes her bod-

Uniqua: DIGGER!

Digger: What?

Uniqua: I will end you if you say that again!

Digger: Fine, I was only joking anyway.

Uniqua: You had better be.

*As the two continued to trash-talk each other and work out, the men cheered them on before an odd thought crossed Spamton's mind.*

Spamton: So, [SparklyTrashcan], how did you know that [Hochi Mama] was the one?

Mettaton: You mean Uniqua?

Spamton: [100% Correct].

Mettaton: Well, it did take time, Spam. All the best relationships do. But Uniqua just stood out the most from all the other people who have tried to ask me out or propose. Of course, she was never as forward or obsessed as they were mostly due to her own anxiety or shyness.

Spamton: What was [She/Her] like when you met her?

Mettaton: She used to be somewhat insecure and unsure of herself. It had barely been a year since she escaped abuse so, her problems were worse. She rarely wanted to hang out with men alone, which is understandable after what she's gone through.

Spamton: She wasn't always [Spirit Halloween]?

Mettaton: She still was. She just had a lot of hurdles. I'm just glad she let me help her rebuild herself and I'm proud of who she's becoming.

Spamton: And you? What were you like at [Time of Employment]?

Mettaton: Oh, I also had some issues I had to work on. For starters, my ego was so much worse then. I also felt bad about having to leave my family for fame. I didn't want to reveal all that to her immediately since I wanted to make a great first impression. Frisk was the one who told me about mystics and how much Uniqua and her family suffered. So, I vowed to provide a healthy male role model for the royal family by learning to be humble and I even apologized to Blooky and Alphys since they both agreed that I completely forgot who I was once I achieved my dreams. I won't lie, Uniqua herself has been a huge inspiration for me. She's the main reason I chose to improve who I am.

Spamton: She must really mean [Big Lots!] to you if you were willing to [Fixer-Upper] those parts of yourself.

Mettaton: I just didn't want to hurt her the same way her father had done to her and her family. When you truly care about someone who's seen what real demons can be like, you want to make sure you're nothing like them. You want to defend them from those demons as much as possible. But if they wish to fight them, you refuse to let them face it alone.

Spamton: I would like to [1st Attempt] that for Digger eventually. I just haven't figured out [How To Help Your Roommate Improve] yet.

Mettaton: I really do wonder what could be done. Hoth, do you have any suggestions? You and Uniqua have known her since you were kids. I'm sure you'd have a few ideas.
