Eighteen

Party

After college was done me and kris rushed home. We kept our bags and left for grocery shopping. I had to make sure everything was gonna go right. Luke was going to be there and the only thing I wanted was no stupid stuff to happen.

"Merryl?what are you gonna wear?" Kris asked me.

"Erm,probably the top I recently bought from topshop. What about you?"

"The blue top you gifted me earlier?the one with criss cross cuts on the back..." she said.

"Great..." I said.

"Are you nervous? I mean Lukes gonna be there so?"She asked

"Yeah a little..."I was obviously.

We picked all the stuff from the grocery and went home. Kris began chopping vegetables that could be grilled too and I got some drinks in the fridge and put some chairs in the backyard beside the pool.

Time passed as we set things up checking everything. We got ready.

"Kris that top deffo goes super well on you!" I complimented her because she looked stunning.

"Well,thanks to you!" She smiled.

The bell rang. It was Evanna. She had this cute short dress flowy and fluffy below her stomach. It was black. She paired it with Golden wedges.

"Heyyyy" she said giving a group hug.

"You look gorgeous!" Me and Kris said together.

"So do you both" she smiled entering and sitting on the couch.

I was gonna go get her water when the bell rang again.

It was Niall. He was dressed casual but looked amazing. He had a white tshirt with red checks shirt left open.

"Hey Merryl" he smiled.

"Hi,come in and you look great.." I smiled at him.

"Thanks and you look great too... oh hey Evanna,Kris" he waved hi to both of them.

"Ughh where is my baby!!" Kris grumbled.

"And mine too..." Evanna joined.

"They will be here girls!" I told them.

"We are here" two voices said. It was them. Liam and Harry.

Harry gave Kris a peck on the cheek and gave her a rose.

Liam just sat next to Evanna putting his arm around her while talking to Niall.

Soon Luke and Tristan arrived to. When Luke came I gave him a hug. Niall looked at us and diverted his attention. Luke and I caught hands and I introduced him as my boyfriend.
Niall was seeming hurt but I ignored it as I was talking to Luke. We were sitting in the backyard.

We had kept some chicken to grill and we sat singing random songs as Niall played the guitar. It was like campfire without fire. Niall sang some songs. Harry sang a song for Kris. They were so cute. Liam sang too. Luke sang When you say nothing at all to me. I was blushing.We were having fun. Laughing,Singing,Eating and drinking.
After sometime Luke got up to go to the washroom.He didn't come for 10mins so I went to look where he was when I heard him talk to someone on the phone.

"No,I really didn't get a chance really to take chance with her. That bloody Niall interupts somehow! I don't think she will let me."
He said to the person on the phone.

"Im gonna lose the fucking bet!" He told.

What! I was just a bet!? How could he!this can't be happening! I thought.
He turned and seen me standing.

He was coming near me I backed.

"HOW DARE YOU USE ME LIKE A BET! I WAS A BET LUKE WASN'T I?! GET OUT RIGHT NOW! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF ANYTHING!JUST LEAVE!" I yelled. Tears rolled down my cheeks.

He couldn't say anything so he left quietly. I sat on my bed crying. Broken. How could he do that!

I heard some footsteps. I tried looking through my blurry eyes. It was Niall. I ran into his arms and cried bitterly in his chest. He hugged me.

"Shh Mer,its okay...I'm here" he said still holding me.

"Niall,I-Im s-sorry,y-you were right...he was a jerk!" I tried saying sobbing.

He wiped my tear away."hey hey,don't cry! I'm here...shhh bab- Merryl... He doesn't know how amazing you are...
okay.."

Did he just call me babe? I was crying so I just ignored. He held me into that hug rubbing my back till I was calm.

"You okay? Want water? Or anything?" He asked.

"No,I'm fine and sorry I ruined your tshirt with my mascara..." I said.

"Nah,its okay...I'm glad you're fine. Remember I am gonna be there for you okay?" He smiled and pushed my hair behind.

"Ni,Thank you so much..." I smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek.

We walked back to where they were waiting. All were worried. But I smiled so they knew I was better.

We continued chit chatting so eventually I forgot about everything.

Harry and Kris went out for a walk. I sat next to Niall he was trying to make me laugh.

"Hey Ni,you are to cook for me don't forget tomorrow!" I told him.

"Haven't...Come over I'll cook you the best food you have eaten." He said praising himself.

"Let see" I said.

Soon we winded up around midnight. We had fun. All left and Niall was last. He kept telling me if I wanted anything to call him. He will be there. He was really the new Niall I met. He was very sweet. I was glad to be his bestfriend.

I didn't really bother to clear up. We just changed and drifted off to sleep.
