Awkward Conversation

As we were sitting and watching the practice,a guy with brown curly hair looked over at us , waved and smiled.
I was inquisitive why was he waving at us when neither of us know him.

Until...Kris waved back with a broad smile.I couldn't believe she din't tell me about him. So I decided to ask her about it.

I looked at her and said,"You know him?"

She looked at me a little unsure and said,"Yeah.I um do know him and he is my lab partner,Harry Styles."

Before I said anything further the team was having a break.So Harry was coming towards us.What was more worse than your best friend hiding something from you at that minute to me was Niall heading towards me.

Harry came and said to Kris,
"Hey what a suprise!you really came.I didn't know you were serious about coming."

She smiled at him and said,
"Boy,I keep up to my promises."

The way she said it made him laugh.

"And who is this beautiful lady with you?" He asked her while looking at me not really paying attention to their conversation because I was too busy looking at Niall.

Kris said,"Oh I almost forgot!She is my best friend Merryl."

I didn't really notice that she took my name and both were looking at me.

Kris said,
"Merryl??Merryl? Are you okay?

When she called my name I snapped back into reality.

I quickly replied to avoid further awkwardness,
"Yes I am okay."

Harry said to me with a little weird look,

"Nice to meet you.I am Harry Styles." And forwarded his hand for a handshake.

We shook hands and I told him it was nice meeting him.
Before we said anything Niall came and looked at me with a very broad smile and said,

"Oh hey Merryl! What are you doing here."

I didn't really reply to him all I did was smiled and left from there saying excuse me.

Kris was looking at me like she knew something was wrong.Niall tried to follow  to stop me but as he was going Kris asked him if I knew him and he told her that he met me earlier in free period.And he ran to stop me.

I could feel someone follow me so from the corner of my eye I seen it was Niall. I began walking faster but he was way too fast.He stopped me by holding my arm.

"Merryl!Merryl!stop.Why are you running away from me?"
He asked with a worried tone.

I turned around and said,
"Don't try to stop me.And please don't try to talk to me ever again." And I released my hand and started walking.

He was too hurt by the way I spoke so he didn't try to stop me.I felt bad about it but ignored and walked.

I waited for Kris in the parking lot.
When she came before she could ask me something I apologized and told her the whole story.

To my surprise she wasn't angry.She understood the way I felt and told me it is okay. She just hugged me which she does to make me feel better.She definitely was the best person on my life.

We drove home and watched a movie to divert my mind.

Around 8 p.m we set out to go to the restaurant few blocks away from our place where Evanna was going to join us.

I was not really in mood to go out but for the sake of my best friend I agreed.I thought after what happened maybe this would make me feel better.
