❝hell is empty and all the devils are here.❞

as her daze slowly grew distant, the raven runs, her curls bounce and her short quick breaths disappear amongst the loud repetitive footsteps from her, Einir, Tamar, Alina and Nadia and her brother ricochet amongst the halls.

her head whips every few seconds to check behind her and her hold tightens on the crown she'd preffered to hold rather than wear. her mother's legacy would not be lost again because she had to run, and she swallows the uncomfortable digging against her palm.

she doesn't still as the sun sumonner calls out. "we have to find Mal." her voice is out of breath and panicked as the small group reaches a lower point, standing iddly near a small set of stairs.

"the tunnels aren't much farther." the Shu pirate urges out, momentarily glancing back as she keeps carefully moving forward. "there are caves, we can hide there."

"where does it lead?" Einir questions.

Tamar sighs heavily. "there's a concealed access point just through that archway." she refers to the open hall standing in front of them and the door like arch eluminated by the dusty windows.

Aeya sighs and keeps her attention high as she glances around the corner to check, her brows furrowing at the open distance between them and the point they needed to reach.

she knew it was a risk, even though it didn't look like much. anything could be hiding amongst the other halls leading to the same place, and she knew that even with their powers combined, they could only slow the nichevo'ya, not fully get rid of them.

her fingers clasp onto Einir's sleeve and she tugs sharply. "anything happens, go through the tunnel first, make sure the Westerosi nobility are all there and look for Nikolai." she instructs sharply and he looks hesitant. "that is an order, lord Stark. anything happens, you go. and don't send anybody out."

"you three, go." Nadia cuts out, glancing to her brother who nods in agreement. "we'll cover."

Tamar hums and starts walking along with the Northern man while the two saints share a concerned look, unsure whether it would be safe to leave them as defense. Adrik just sends them another glance as he nods and softly steps forward, silently ushering them to move.

moving carefully, the group of four lead the way, their bodies simultaneously facing different directions as their hands remain up, some shaky, some too tense. the Targaryen glances behind her every once in a while to make sure the siblings were still there.

in a breath, her brows furrow as she watches the eldest push his sister out of the way and in the few seconds it took for her head to tilt to understand the situation, a quick blur of darkness swipes above her as she crouches and Adrik is sent to the side in a mess of blood and grunts.

Alina's arms extend up and a bright burst of blue light makes the nichevo'ya dissapear momentarily. "Adrik!" Nadia's shout is raw and pained as she rushed his way, her hands cutching around his kefta.

"we need to get him to a Healer." the sword wielding Shu kneels next to them with heavy quick breaths as she listens in to his heart rate and blood flow. "this is too much blood." Aeya only shakes her head and points to Einir with warning.

his gaze flickers from the scene to the queen he served, eyes wide and jaw clenched. he was a soldier through and through, and though he was used to being the one giving the orders, she was the high ruler above even him.
