I get up to the sound of the alarm clock. I grunt and plant my feet on the ground. Fuck you music. Luckily, today is Monday!! The day that Sky comes.
"Babe. Studio. I'm sorry" I say.
"Ugh." Sky says and gets up.
"You don't have to go if you don't want to babe"
"No I'm just tired"
"How about you sleep in? I'll take Drew over to Aja's and you can come over when you get enough sleep."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, now go to bed" I tell Sky
I rush to get Drew and I ready and then head to the car. I hurry and drop Drew off and then Dan comes and rides with me to the studio. Honestly, I'm so annoyed. I don't want to work in the studio. Although, we are almost finished with album 3. "Out in the light". Its given this name because it our happiest album we've had. Yes, there is a few songs on there that aren't happy, but a majority of them are.
I get out of my car and drag my feet to the studio. We only get like 5 minute breaks each hour.
Its 8:20 and Ben isn't here yet. Mac called Ben and Ben didn't answer.
"Ill go to Ben's house and see what's up" I say.
I just did this so they didn't make me touch those drumsticks. When I reach Soleil's I see Ben's car in the driveway. I knock on the door and Soleil answers after a few moments holding Alexa.
"Where is Ben? He's supposed to be in the studio?" I say.
"Um, he told me he didn't have to be. He's hungover, he went drinking last night. You are free to make him go though."
"Yeah. Give me a sec to call Mac" I say.
I type Mac's phone number in and call him. He picks up almost immediately.
"Ben is hungover" I say.
"Fu- um, well, I guess we won't have Ben for today. So, tell him that if something like this happens again, he's not going to get away with it. We can't afford this. Everyone will just take today off" Mac says.
"Alright, I'll give him the message." I say and hang up.
I walk up to Ben and Soleil's room. Ben is awake throwing up.
"Ben! We had the studio today. We need to finish a few things in the album. Pick out the album cover, font, etc. Next time you pull this shit, Mac said you're out." I say and then leave.
I love Ben, but really?
I go back home and lay down near Sky who is still sleeping. I think Wayne or Mac can give Dan a ride home. I'm not too worried about it.
Drew is with Aja. I wonder if that's okay.
I get up and walk downstairs, dial Aja's number, and wait for her to pick up.
"Hey!" Aja says.
"Hey Aja, is it okay if Drew stays there or would you like me to pick him up?" I ask.
"Actually, I think I'll keep him for a bit. I planned on taking them to the park to play."
"Okay thank you Aja"
"Love you Platz! Bye!"
"Love you too Aja! Bye!"
I love how everything is now. We all say love you and shit to each other and its just normal. We're all family. We were the friends that turned into family.
I hear Sky walk downstairs and she must've gotten ready fast. She wasn't even awake when I went downstairs.
"Daniel, what are you doing here?"
"Ben" I say.
"Hungover?" Sky asks.
"Yeah. The usual" I say.
"So, what are we going to do today? Aja said she'd keep Drew for a while."
"I dunno" Sky says and shrugs.
Damn. I love when she does that.
I look at her and smile.
