Y/N

The first thing I noticed was the blinding white. It was like waking up in a cloud, soft and fluffy. Then came the dull ache in my head, a constant throbbing that pulsed with each beat of my heart. I tried to move, but a sharp pain shot through my arm, making me gasp. My eyes flicked to my side, landing on a familiar sight. He was asleep, his head resting on our interlaced hands, his chest rising and falling with each breath. The sight of him, so peaceful and serene, made my chest ache with a different kind of pain, a longing that felt almost unbearable. I wanted to reach out, to touch his face, to whisper his name, but the effort was too much. I was stuck, trapped in this white prison, unable to do anything but watch him sleep.

I tried to remember what happened yesterday, I gasped feeling a sharp pain in my head. Then, as if sensing my movement, he suddenly woke up, his eyes flying open, his face instantly etched with worry. He was up in a flash, his hand reaching for mine, his voice a hushed whisper, "y/n you're awake!" His relief was palpable, his worry a tangible presence in the sterile white room.

I coughed a little. " Do you need water?", He asked and I nodded.

He got up, helping me out to sit properly, his touch leaving a burning sensation on my skin as I shivered a little. It didn't go unnoticed by him as his movements stopped for a while. Our gazes locked, a silent conversation passing between us. The worry in his eyes mirrored the fear that gnawed at my own heart. There was a sadness that hung heavy in the air, a shared understanding of the fragility of life, of the unpredictable nature of fate. We were both holding onto the hope that this wasn't the end, that we could weather this storm together, but the uncertainty in our eyes betrayed the unspoken fear that lurked beneath the surface.

He looked away focusing on me sitting properly. He took the glass of water and reached for my lips. His gaze met mine indicating me to open my mouth, I opened, gulping down the water.

He placed the glass back on the table, "Do you want to eat something?"

I shook my head a little, he nodded, "I'll call the doctor"

He turned around to leave but I held his wrist stopping him, "Not now"

He looked back at me, there was a moment of silence, "please"

He nodded, "I'll be outside then"

"Stay"

His eyes widened a little, the nervousness in his face clearly visible, "it's okay, I don't want to make you uncomfortable"

"I'm comfortable"

He stared at me, his look confused, unsure whether to stay or not. Then slowly he sat down on the table.

"What's the time?" I asked.

"Uh.." He checked his watch before replying, "5:10am"

I hummed in response, "so..." He looked at me waiting for me to continue, "How have you been?"

"Good?" He hesitated.

"Liar"

His eyes widened, he scratched his nape looking down, "Uhm.. I'm not lying"

"you can't lie to me"

He stared at me, really stared at me for a moment, "what about you?"
