Cain Blaze the Shadow Rider was miserable, why, he failed, as a leader, a friend, a father, and a husband, many of his teammates and friends didn't want to see him, his best friend Peter Parker blamed him for letting him make the deal with Mephisto...
Cain walked out of the Cartenon Temple dungeon, Cain couldn't tell the time of day, the clouds had gathered over head and it was raining a shadow hood formed over his head with the dark heart greater control of ambient shadows had come naturally to him, he may not need Leetha to act as his suit but he'd still keep her as his suit.
"You better, cause what am I even here for, at least I'm sentient enough to watch your back," Leetha said in his mind.
"If nothing else, I'll pass you on to one of my kids who didn't inherit my monarch powers," said Cain.
"Now I do believe I have to visit my teacher do I not," said Cain.
"Indeed you do," said Leetha.
Cain summoned his motorcycle to him and he drove off to the hospital, Cain went in and asked for Al Simmons, after getting the room Cain went to it, there he saw Wanda Blake, Al's wife, and Cyan his step daughter.

"How is he?" Cain asked Wanda.
"He's stubbornly hanging in there, glad you could be here," said Wanda hugging Cain.
"He's my mentor, I should be here if he's in his last moments," said Cain.
Cain went in and saw his former mentor lying in a hospital bed, "how are you feeling?" Cain asked as he sat down.
"Better than I have since the day I made that deal with Malebolgia," said Al.
"If you want I can see if Beru can heal you, give you the rest of your life with Wanda, and Cyan," said Cain.
"Kid, don't waste the magic, I've lived longer than I should have, it's time to stop cheating death," said Al.
"Hope you have all your affairs in order this time, hate for you to have to make another deal with another demon king and have to come back up here," said Cain jokingly making the old soldier laugh.
"Relax kid, my ass isn't one you'll be sending back to Hell," said Al with a cough.
"If it's any consultation my former mentor, I think Angela has been fighting to get you into heaven," said Cain.
"Yes she has, but even if she fails, I'll be quite comfortable in Hell," said Al.
"Doing what?" asked Cain.
"Remember who taught you how to cause trouble to all those devils," Al said with a smirk, one Cain matched.
"Cain, when I'm fully gone, look after Wanda, and Cyan for me," said Al.
"You have my word," said Cain.
"Good, now get out of here, you got your own family to find, if you find those kids, make sure you bring them by if I'm still around," said Al.
"Old man, you can stand to live for a while longer while I track my kids across the Omniverse," said Cain smirking.
Both men laughed as Cain left, Wanda and Cyan stepping in the room.
