Chapter 70

The screens across the Omniverse turned back on and focused on Cain and his group flying towards Atlas.

In the world of RWBY, Cain stood behind Qrow who was in the co-pilot seat, next to him was Roxy, "I don't understand, what's happening?" asked Roxy looking around seeing all the Atlesian ships flying by.

"This is a city prepared for war," Cain said.

"How can you tell?" asked Jaune.

"He's right," said Weiss as she stood between the pilot and co-pilot chairs.

"I've never seen our forces deployed so aggressively before, if we land a stolen ship, no way will a security team let us anywhere near Ironwood, they might even take me and my mother back to my father," said Weiss.

"Weiss, Willow, do you know anyone in the military who can help us?" asked Cain.

"Winter," said Weiss.

"Yes, my eldest daughter, is for all intents and purposes, the second in command to General Ironwood," said Willow.

"Put some distance between us and the fleet," said Weiss.

"Don't have to tell me twice," said Maria and she flew the ship towards the city of Mantel below them.

As the ship flew over the city, Cain, Peter, Petra, and Gwen all looked out over the city, "It looks like New York, but when it's under the rule of a tyrannical villain," said Peter.

On a building screen, James Ironwood was giving a speech, "General Ironwood, he looks..." Yang was saying.

"Tired," said Roxy.

"He's been fighting a losing battle on his own pretty much this whole time," said Cain, recognizing that look, he had it often when facing the hordes of hell with just his shadow army, to the last bar of mana.

"But he hasn't, we've..." Roxy was saying.

"You all were retrieving the relics, he's been taking the fight to the Grimm, and Salem, and likely, has been dealing with the fallout of what happened at the Vytal Festival, since most of this world believes Atlas did it in a bid to take over Vale," said Cain.

"From the looks of it though, he's had to make some, pretty harsh decisions as a leader," said Peter looking at the streets seeing mechanized soldiers walking down the streets, drones flying low, but citizens were attacking the drones.

"We need to ditch the ship, it's gonna get too much attention drawn to us," said  Cain.

"He's right," said Qrow.

"From the looks of things, this entire city is under military martial law, which is never an easy thing," said Cain.

"What have you been under Military Martial Law?" asked Raven.

"Pretty much what Hell is whenever I show up," said Cain.

On template Earth the Suns sat with their guests, "I'm not gonna lie, that city kind of looks like New York, when Hydra Cap was in charge," said Dane.

"I agree son, it does look like that," said Steve with a voice filled with guilt.

"Only this seems to be a necessity to survive, not necessarily for anything nefarious," said Wanda.

"Yes, this General Ironwood seems to want to do good, but I do think he's going about it in a way that is more like a knife's edge," said Sara.

"Cain will work this all out, he usually does," said Nico.

In the Capcom omniverse in the world of Resident Evil, "it's like a city under the control of Umbrella," said Jill feeling sorry for the people.

"It's a world of monsters, so likely, this might be the safest option, at least so far it seems the military isn't experimenting on their own people," said Chris Redfield.
