Any attack Cain uses even ones that should be AOE are all being focused on Abel and Abel alone.
The two riders stood across from each other, skulls ignited in their specific flame color, Cains purple like shadows, and Abels, Black like an abyss, hands clenching around the handles of their daggers both wanted to win this battle, for one reason or another.
Abyss Rider was the first to make a move as he slashed his demon king daggers firing black flames from one, and pale white flames from another.
Cain dodged the attack from his brother as Abel brought the daggers down on him, Cain deflected the dagger blades with the flat of his blades, pushing his brother back, Abel came at Cain slashing and stabbing his daggers at Cain, Cains own daggers clashed against his brothers.
"Tell me Cain, how many wars have you seen?" asked Abel as they crossed blades.
"Too many," said Cain.
"Yes, you've been on the front lines of every conflict our universe had to offer, at least most of them, when Magneto tried to make mutants the dominant race, you fought him, when demons attack, your right there on the front lines killing every one of them with a dagger and a chain whip, here you are protecting a world that's not even your own from an other worldly conqueror, but when heroes are fighting each other, when your family and friends are in danger, where were you, in hell making yourself and them targets as you usually are," said Abel as he tried to stab Cains eye only for a black chain made of shadows to come from Cains shoulder and toss Abel to the side.
"Your gonna try that again brother, it worked once, I won't let you get to me again," Cain said as he landed on Abyss Rider holding a dagger to his throat.
"Abel, for so many years I've had to fight and kill, do you know what that does to someone?" asked Cain.
Abel just silently glared at Cain, "it strips you of your humanity, every time I killed, I felt another part of myself die, it was like the darkness would snuff out a flame in my soul till all that remained was a dark and hollow void, I began to notice, that I wasn't like anyone anymore, not mutants, not humans, not inhumans, not even any angels or demons, I began to stop seeing myself as any of those, that's when I truly believe I was becoming a Monarch," said Cain.
"But I had people who pulled me back from that, who reminded me what humanity and emotions feel like, that was you, Seth, Peter, Kaine, Ben, May, Wanda, Illyana, Satana, Dane, Seras, Nico, Helena, and Petra you all reminded me that I wasn't a monster, that deep down I was the same as I've always been, now let me show you that your still the same as well," said Cain as he turned human, and his dagger disappeared, for a moment it seemed Abel was about to let his brother guide him on the right path again as he turned human again as well his daggers disappearing to, Abel took his hand and Cain was about to pull him up, when Abel had a wicked grin as he pulled Cain into his dagger stabbing Cain in the stomach.
"Always so trusting brother," said Abel cruelly only to see the dagger in Cains hands which were now bleeding, Abel hadn't stabbed Cain he only cut up his hands, Cain kicked his brother back.
"Brother didn't you get the memo, I don't trust anyone," said Cain as he summoned his daggers and threw them at Abel who dodged them, Cain stuck out a hand activating his rulers authority ability and he stopped the daggers turned them around, and pulled them back towards Abel, Abel just barely dodged as Cain caught the daggers and he spun slicing at Abel.
Abel tried deflecting the strike but it sent both daggers flying from their hands.
"This contest isn't going to be decided by our skills with daggers," said Abel.
"But by our mastery of Hell fire," said Abel as he released a massive plume of black flames, Cain released his own only purple and the flames met in the center.
