Chapter 72

Roxy woke up early and met her father outside of Atlas academy, "ready Roxy?" Cain asked

"Yeah dad, I'm ready," said Roxy, Cain summoned a key to his hand and stuck it into the air causing a door to appear it opened letting the father and daughter in, and they stood in front of a tower.

"There are one hundred floors, I'll be waiting at the top of the tower," said Cain handing Roxy a bag.

"Fight your way up to the top, and then you can fight me to see how far you've come," said Cain.

"How long will we be here?" Roxy.

"That depends on you, if you make it to top in a week but can't beat me, I'll send you back to the bottom and you can climb up again, and we'll keep doing that till your strong enough," said Cain as his wings came out and he flew up to the top of the door.

Roxy took out her scythe, "let's do this," Roxy thought with a smirk as she walked into the tower and armored figures began walking out of the shadows the drew their swords and ran towards Roxy, and Roxy ran towards them and cut them down with her scythe.

Petra Parker woke up and found her husband gone, she got out of bed and dressed and went out into the living room, Petra and Cain were given something of an apartment, while the students were given normal looking dorms, teachers, which Petra, Cain, and Peter, were acting as were given dorms that were more like apartments, complete with a kitchen, bathroom, and living room, it was honestly nicer than any apartment Petra, her brother,  and her had lived in before she married Harry.

There was no sign of Cain in the apartment, but she figured she knew where he was, but she wanted to be sure, she went to the mess hall and found her daughters friends.

"Have you all seen Roxy?" asked Petra to Yang, Weiss, and Blake.

"No ma'am, she was gone before we woke up," said Yang.

"Alright, thank you girls," said Petra, this pretty much confirmed it in her mind if both her daughter and husband were gone.

An emerald holo screen appeared in the mess hall and it showed Cain and Roxy.

Cain flew up to the top of a tower, and Roxy stepped into the tower, and was being approached by knights and she attacked.

"Yep, this explains it," said Petra taking a seat at the teachers table with Peter, Summer, Raven, and Qrow.

"I'll admit, I'm a bit worried," said Summer.

"You don't need to, Cains not going to make our daughter do anything she can't already do," said Petra.

"I know, and are you sure I can still see Roxy as my daughter?" asked Summer.

"You were her mother when I couldn't be, if you don't deserve to be her mom, then I definitely don't," said Petra.

"Is he sure she's ready for this level of training?" asked Roxanne concerned for her granddaughter. 

"Given the things she's done so far, I think she is," said Mary.

"I can see my granddaughter is strong, but I still worry, I still worry about Cain being out there, even though he's all grown up, it's just a mothers and grandmothers job to worry," said Roxanne.

"I do agree with you Roxanne, I worry about Peter, and Petra when I see them fighting," said Mary.

"If Cain believes that his child is ready for this level of training, we have to trust he knows what he's doing," said Steve.
