Emma sat back smiling, her brothers were all safe now, though exhausted they were alive, and Emma was happy about that.

Ben had a smile on his face, his best friend who had risked his life, freedom, and soul to save him, was saved.

The brothers relaxation was interrupted by two Shokans, "great, and I don't have the mana to summon any of my shadows," groaned Cain as he and Abel tried to stand, Cain opened up his item menu and summoned a mana potion.

But Goro was onto Cains shenanigans, he threw a rock at the Shadow Rider knocking the potion from his hand.

"Huh smarter than I thought Goro," said Cain.

"Looks like he doesn't intend to let me recharge my mana reserves, and you've lost access to all of Abaddons abilities including summoning legions of demons," said Cain.

"Prepare to face the mighty Shokan, Goro," roared Goro.

"Dude, if I could summon Tusk, or any of his legion of High orcs, they'd be picking you out of their teeth, with your bones," said Cain.

"Besides, didn't my brother take one of your arms?" asked Abel looking at the stump that used to be one of Goros four arms.

"Alright, Abel and I are pretty much out of power, Goro ain't gonna let me recover my mana, well guess it's time to use the another weapon of a king," thought Cain.

"What?" asked Abel through their psychic link as lords of cinder, and blood.

"Diplomacy," said Cain.

The non tyrannical rulers nodded a king was more than just his blade, his tounge must be as sharp as his blades, even the king of the dead.

"How do you plan to negotiate, Goro wants you dead," said Abel psychically.

"Yes, he does, but Sheeva," Cain said looking at the female Shokan who just glared angrily at Goro.

"You sly fox," said Abel.

"Sheeva," Cain said and the female Shokan looked to the Shadow Monarch.

"You don't need to do this, you don't need to follow Shao Khan or Goro," said Cain.

"Of course she does, I am Goro, king of the Shokan, champion of mortal kombat, and right hand of Shao Khan," growled Goro arrogantly.

"Probably because my shadows killed his top three generals," said Cain.

"Sheeva, thank about your people, what happens when Shao Khan has no more use for you or them, at best you'll be enslaved, you might make up a bulk of his army, but strength can be used for more," said Cain as he remembered before it was a mutant paradise, Genosha was a island nation that used mutants as slave labor, this had happened to Storm, Meltdown, Rictor, and Wolfsbane before Cain had been dragged into Hell, he and some other X-Men had gone to Genosha and saved them, Cain himself overthrowing the mutant hating government, but he allowed Genosha to decide it's own fate, a more understanding government taking over.

Many mutants had bad memories of that, it was one of the first moments that mutant kind came to see Cain as a savior, a liberator, eventually he became the man they wanted as their king, and leader.

"Shao Khan would never, our race is to useful," said Goro.

"He's conquering entire worlds across your universe, how long till he finds a world with creatures that surpass you in strength, perhaps even intellect, even if that doesn't happen, what happens when Shao Khan has no need for you for your strength, at worse you become slave labor as I said, force to work yourselves to death, at best, your entire race is destroyed because Shao Khan would grow to fear your strength, fearing a Shokan who could surpass him may rise," said Cain.
