Chapter 15: Cutting Bonds

Yato POV:
I can't stand it seeing Hiyori with another guy. Even if its one day, its getting on my nerves. Dammit!

"Oyy Yato! Can't you focus?" The blessed regalia called out my attention. I snapped back to reality when the roar of the phantom disrupted my thoughts. I dodged it and cut it swiftly with no hesitation.

"S-sorry..." I mumbled, completely dozed off.

"Well just be lucky you save our skins or we would be eaten by now," he sighed, "Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry Yukine." I revert Yukine back to his human form.

"If this has something to do with Hiyori, why don't you just talk to her?"

"... I told you she's busy."

We sat in a food store. As I took the empty seat under the umbrella, Yukine folded his arms with an irritated expression, "Honestly, you're pathetic." Yukine looked at me, face pouted as my eyes started to get watery like a baby who can't get what he wants, "You've been telling me that all the time and you've been sitting there like a weanie!" Yukine glared at me.

"But Hiyoriiii hasn't contacted meeeeeeehhh!!" I cried, "Jeez Yato it's only a day or two, what do you expect?!"

I gulped my soda all the way down, I exhaled heavily, "Still, I'm getting a bad feeling..."

Yukine arched his brow suspiciously, "What makes you say that?" He finally sat across me, his palm pressed his cheek, "I still don't trust him."

"You're just jealous because Hiyori hangs out with another guy."

"Yeah-- wait I am not!" He snapped.

"Sure you are." Yukine began to tease me. My face started to blush a little.

"Ahah, I am not jealous." I shrieked a little, almost cracked my voice. "Dude, you almost killed a guy every time she interacts with them." I flinched a little.

"Sh-shut up, pip squeak!!!" I slammed the table, angrily.

~~~Normal POV~~~

"Hey guys," Hiyori made her way towards my friend. Yama told me to meet them at the carnival. There's a lot of kids and a lot of screaming coming from the inside. "Alright you guys! Let's hit the party, shall we?" Yama sparkled with excitement as she went ahead, leaving me with Fujisaki who's holding a map on his hands, "Sorry bout my friend, she's so excited when it comes to guys."

Fujisaki formed a smile, "Don't worry bout it. It's my first time in here though."

They went into different rides and enjoyed it even though its crowded.

They stop in a fast food and sat down.

Yato POV: (At Kofuku's shrine)

A sudden chill runs disturbingly down my spine.

"Something wrong Yatty?" Kofuku asked.

I pondered, "I-It's nothing," I slowly stood up, tucked my shoes and head out, "Yato, where are you going?" Yukine approached,

"I need some air. Don't wait for me when I come back." I said, walking away. I looked up at the night sky, " It's so windy tonight."
This shaky feeling I have inside my chest is giving me goosebumps ever since yesterday. What the hell is this feeling?
