"F-Fujisaki - senpai..!!" I stammered on my words, frozen at his sudden appearance. His eyes bore into mine but for some reason, I felt insecure into his presence every time he appears especially after the 'incident'. I blushed more when I thought about it as I slowly shoved myself away from him.
"Wha-what are you doing here..?" My voice was shaking no matter how many times I tried to calm down. I shook my head. On second thought.."I should get going, please excuse me.." I skate right pass him, "..please don't follow me." As I was about to leave. Someone caught my wrist.
"That was supposed to be my line.."
I jolted my head up to him, "Heh..?"
"Could you stay away from my Yaboku..?" He said in a deep, raspy voice.
My eyes shocked wide open, 'Yaboku..'
----------
Hiyori.
I looked up, "Yato..?"
"I won't let you forget me."
He cupped my face softly, leaning closer until our foreheads touched.
"I won't..not while I'm still here."
----------
My eyes bolted, Yato.
He smirked playfully, "You seemed to enjoy yourself out there." "You still haven't answered my question,"
"Whoa take it easy there. I just arrived and that's how you greet your old friend?" I twitched my brow a little, hoping he wouldn't noticed. "Where else would I go if it's the weekend?" Ouch. I guess he does have a point.
"So, who was your little friend awhile ago..?" He started asking.
"I don't know on what you're talking about." I intertwined my fingers behind my back, looking suspicious of his next words.
"Oh c'mon Hiyori, I saw you hanging around with that young boy." He lifted his chin, "So I'm guessing his name is Yukine-kun. Am I right?" He smirked at me as my eyes slowly widened on his unexpected response.
The air began to rise making the atmosphere unease. The cold rose creepily onto my shoulders. I couldn't speak for a moment, feeling this strange presence surrounding at this guy.
He knows Yukine-kun..? I thought,
He finally let go of me. I stared at him weirdly, as he bit his thumb. Tch damn that Yaboku. Letting his guard down on this fragile girl. He bitterly thought.
My stomach had been acting weirdly. I curled my fist in front of my chest. What's taking Yukine-kun so long..? I gulped silently, holding my breath for him to not be suspicious of me.
"How foolish of that boy." He muttered. I blinked back to my senses. "Mah, I can't blame him. Who would've thought that boy got charm especially for you." "H..uh..?"
I felt this strong sensation flowing into me..
"I guess the spell must have worn off.." I heard him. I recalled Anon's words. So..he was the one..
I gazed at his eyes. His smirk never leaves his face.
...who cast a spell on me....?
"Just what I needed. But there is one trick I haven't used."
"A trick..?" I said, as he revealed his true colors. I tightened my grip further. The atmosphere's getting colder and colder sending chills down my spine. "I never even thought a human like you would have a thing for a God."
He sighed in exasperation, "And yet he left you after all this time.."
I was stunned by his words. I almost forgot about him. My knees wobbled when he mentioned Yato. I bit my lip in guilt. I stood still leaving him grinning at this scene.
A minute had passed. Maybe two or three. Quietly, people started to scattered off, leaving only the two of us behind.
I glared at him, "He will return..!" I finally spoke. He caught my attention, "There's no way that he would disappear like that. I'm pretty sure he has a good reason why. And I believe that he will come back alive." I stated, full of confidence. I was surprised that I said it all in a calm manner.
Silence.
He chuckled. "Well, I guess I underestimated you." He skated closer to me before I took a step back. His arm was around me as he leaned closer to my ear. I can sensed his breath hissing on my skin, making me flinched. "But I won't let you get away with it."
