Chapter 23: Your Eyes Don't Lie

A/n: I apologize for making the story too fast and confusing from the previous chapters. I got excited and a bit tired from school lately. But thanks to those who voted and commented on my story. ;) Got to improve more ^_^

Drip, drip, drop

I felt something dripped on the tip of my nose. I looked up and droplets of rain started to fall over. "Oh man!" I covered my head as I searched for shelter. Everyone had already scattered. I tried looking left and right but somehow nowhere. I kept on running, not even care if I'm wet. I just ran and ran.

There, I saw a tree. So I ran towards it and leaned my back against it, waiting for the heavy rain to stop. I panted and shivered because of the cold. I curled myself up, trying to keep myself warm. I just realized that I skipped school, so I didn't bring my jacket.

Great... I sighed in disappointment, rubbing my hands and bringing it to my mouth. I can't stop shivering because of the wind blowing. I'm just glad that the tree is protecting me from above.

Question is, how am I supposed to get back to school??

If I ran, I might catch a cold. If I stay here longer, maybe..someone might come and get me.

Someone...but who?

But all I can do is just wait.

Just for the rain to stop.

All I can hear is the rain pouring down hard. I looked up at the sky. The sky became gray but it looks like there's going to be a storm. Haze began to emerge into it.

"What would I choose, huh..." I buried my head into my arms, thinking. There isn't anything else I could do but just think. That's what I'm currently doing after getting involved into the mess. I thought, chuckling to myself.

My vision was starting to get blurry. The rain won't stop. I began to look up again and I saw unknown things floating around. 'Heh, I must be going crazy.' There's so many of them. I don't know if I was hallucinating or maybe the rain was just making me seeing things. I don't care about my condition. I don't have enough strength to go back. Instead, I just stayed here longer. Not because of skipping class but the rain made me stop and think. But because of too much thinking, my body temperature started to rise up. "It's so cold.." Unaware of it, I didn't realize that I drift to sleep.
