I went out of the exit, still frozen of what just happened. I couldn't stop trembling in fear even though I gripped my fist tighter.
'If you want to save your precious friends, that is..'
His words really scared the shit outta me.
I sat down, waiting patiently but my knees kept on shaking even more. My heart was beating loudly on my chest as I started panicking, more like almost hyperventilating.
"Hiyori!" My body stiffed as I heard to where that voice was coming from. "Sorry to keep you waiting, the line was pretty long and also you are not going to believe who I sa--" he stopped talking when he saw me not moving on my spot.
"Hiyori.." I finally looked up to see Yukine in front of me with a concerned look. "Are you alright..? You've been spacing out a little. Did something happen while I'm gone?" My thoughts were swirling constantly on my head as I felt a bit scared.
'Do as I say and no one gets hurt.'
"I-It's--" "Hm?" I shook my head gently, "It's nothing. I felt a bit cold awhile ago inside." I warmed myself up, trying to make an excuse. "That so.." I nodded, calming down my nerves.
Yukine took off something as he handed out to me, "Here," I blinked in confusion, as he averted his gaze, blushing. "Y-You said you were cold so.." I stared at him for a second then took his offer in returned. I said thanks to him and put it on. His jacket's really warm. Somehow my problems had faded...for now.
I slowly got up, "We should probably head back. The others might be waiting for us."
He glanced through his watch as it read 2:00 pm. "Yeah, I think we should." I started walking but after a few steps, I turned around and noticed that he wasn't following me. I went back to his spot. I could have sworn he was mumbling something saying, "He probably should be back by now.."
Before I called his attention, I studied his face. He seemed calm but looks as if waiting for something. "Yukine-kun?" He jumped a little when he saw my face was a few meters away from his. "D-D-D-Don't scare me like that Hiyori."
I stiffed a giggle, "Sorry, but it looks to me that you have been spacing out." I smirked at his reaction. He groaned, "Let's get going." He went ahead as I followed from behind.
----A few hours later-----
"Hey Yukine, where are we going anyway..?" I asked for the third time, waiting impatiently. He told me that we're gonna go somewhere. So we just wandered around aimlessly in the city but this is getting nowhere.
I noticed that he kept glancing on his watch like there's something up. Raising an eyebrow, I spoke lavishly, "Yukine-kun, is there something you're not telling me..?"
He stopped walking.
We stopped in a sports shop. He wants to go here? "I just thought, that I wanna buy something in here.." He scratched his head nervously. "Then why didn't you say so? There was one on the mall. So why here?" I wasn't being rude or anything. I grew curious even though my legs were tired from all that walking. I was surprised he wasn't exhausted at all,
"I found this.." his eyes wandered as I waited for his answer. "...this one!" I saw the skateboard that was on the glass. A striking green and black nightingale skateboard. I chuckled softly. Teenage boys sure love skateboard. "Okay, for how much?" I asked nicely. "You're going to buy it?" "Well if that's what you want."
We went to the cashier as Yukine handed it to him. As soon as he punched the buttons, I dragged out my wallet but not before he halt me. "You don't have to pay Miss." "But wait, isn't th--"
