CHAPTER 22: Betrayal

I just finished doing a remix project for a friend of mine who's joining G. Angono Pageant. :) I think I did a pretty good job.

Okay, balik tayo sa story. Katense na kasi to masyado eh. LOL.

"NERY! CONGRATS!"

"Ang galing Nery! I knew you would win."

"HI NERY! I voted for you!"

Pinagkaguluhan siya ng mga tao nang pababa sa stage.

This whole election thing seems like the real one-- yung talagang sa gobyerno nangyayari.

HAHA. She felt like the president of the Philippines kung pagkaguluhan.

She pulled off a smile, here and there, dodging thousands of arms, sometimes, pinagbibigyan ang ilang nakikipagkamay, ilang nagpapayakap, kahit na ba hindi niya kilala ang mga ito.

She is now Serrano's Council President.

What a priveledge.

What an honor.

And to think na hindi niya naman talaga inexpect na mananalo siya.

Ikaw ba naman, positibo pa rin ang iisipin mo kung sa mismong araw ng eleksyon, dalawang tao lang ang pumalakpak nang matapos ka mag-speech? Of course, she would think that they hated her. For a school full of bullies, that's not impossible.

But still, she won.

Heto na nga-- halos lahat ng mga tao, gustong gusto siya at mabait sa kanya in an instant. Kahit na yung mga dinededma dedma lang siya nung una.

But enough of that, wala siyang ibang iniisip ngayon kundi ...

... si Paula.

She knew very well that Paula pushed through with their agreement-- na sa mga oras na nag-aannounce na ng mga binoto nung eleksyon, magtatapat na siya ng tunay na nararamdaman sa forever crush na si Oliver Espino.

It's been an hour already. The confession shall be over now.

Bakit wala pa siya doon?

Nasaan siya?

"NERY! CONRATULATIONS ON THE WIN. You deserved it." Intellectual's co-presidential candidate approached her and reached out for her hand.

Nginitian lang niya ito and dodged.

Pau, nasaan ka na?

Luminga-linga siya, here and there ... but there was no sign of her.

She saw another group of people na tila ba papalapit, pero bago pa man sila makarating, she waved her hand at them and ran out of the auditorium.

Come on, Pau. I won already. You should have too, by now.

"NERY!"

She turned and saw Oliver, running to her. He had this brilliant smile in his face.
